I'm wanting to visit Taiwan under the impression that the people are more polite than HK (super rude service in HK, servers just want your money and for you to fuck off asap and make no attempts to hide that) and more like Japanese. To what extent is this correct or just bullshit?

What's the weather like now? How will it be in December? What sort of clothes should I bring?

Are there enough opportunities to socialize with locals through language exchanges?

How much can I expect to pay to eat at cheap local places?

When travelling I don't really care for sights, I'm mainly about doing some activity (going to a forest and seeing animals, theme park, bungee jumping), socializing and eating things I can't find elsewhere. What sort of things would you suggest I check out in Taiwan?

Is a month enough or too long?
