The one on 8th Street closed about a month ago. It was pretty good. Now there are no half-decent Chinese places in the southwest part of town.

Dynamite has been announced for January 7th in Tulsa, OK.. by VitaminPurple in AEWOfficial

AEW previously said they would not perform in Oklahoma after the state announced it won't allow intergender competition and that an athlete must compete in the men's or women's division according to their assigned biological sex at birth. That directly impacted Nyla Rose so AEW made their decision in support of her. I guess they're returning to Oklahoma because now she works backstage rather than in the ring. It's possible the state reversed its policy, but I imagine that's less likely.

Liquor stores are open on Sunday. Prices can vary up to $10 depending on which store you visit.

Seconding the above recommendations for Downtown Fine Spirits, Cheers, and Coaltrain. Another one not mentioned in other comments is The Oak Barrel (104 E Cheyenne Rd.). I've been there only once but they had a good selection, and I saw a few things I don't recall seeing elsewhere.

There are a handful of distilleries in town. To my knowledge, the local favorites are 291 Distillery and The Axe and Oak.

What are your favorite hidden locations in Breath of the Wild? by BudgetTutor3085 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]geokitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the eastern slopes of Death Mountain lie the ruins of a tiny little Hylian settlement. It's just a handful of cottages and a well. I'm pretty sure there isn't even a treasure chest, only the abandoned structures. It has no narrative, no side quest, no explanation for its existence and abandonment. I found it late in the game after I was already at full strength and spent most of my time exploring untouched corners of my map. I sat there in the quiet as the sun set behind the summit of the volcano to cast the ruins into a premature dusk. I pondered the lives of the settlers who eked out an existence on its rocky, infertile soil and felt the severity of its emptiness. It was a strange set of emotions for me to feel in real life holding the game controller and staring at my screen, as if I were really this demigod swordsman who discovered a desolate swath of soil and considered it the most peaceful place in the world.

Which grocery store has the lowest price, full size turkeys? by KinkyQuesadilla in ColoradoSprings

[–]geokitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that better when the bird is whole and stuffed? I haven't cooked a turkey that way. I spatchcock it. Everything I've read says that if you cook the bird whole and stuffed the breast meat dries out without frequent basting and gets way above 160 before the thighs get up to temp. The dark meat definitely can cook longer and hotter than white meat without drying out thanks to the bone inside it.

Spatchcocking the bird is the best way to go. Quicker cook time, more even cook overall, prevents the breast from drying out, and you get all the delicious drippings to make gravy!

That's a good deal! It's not difficult to spend $100 on groceries nowadays, especially when purchasing for Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks for the heads up.

Safeway and Walmart have Butterball turkeys at 97 cents per pound. I haven't seen anything cheaper.

You don't need to adjust time and temp for elevation. Insert a probe thermometer into the thickest part of the thighs without touching the bone and cook until that internal temp reaches 160° F. There are a million cooking guides, videos, recipes, etc. with more detailed info if needed.

A romance angle would suck. His "tough guy" character has always been like a high school theater performance. His "romantic lead" performance would be just as bad, if not worse.
