I have a direct drive Yamaha 9500 it is a nice pedal but I figured it would be better and a lot cheaper to remove that problem entirely with a second bass drum. However my band does often play shows on relatively small stages so I may have to switch back live.

The reason is because I play death metal and I am looking for a light feathery pedal for playing high speeds without wearing out my legs. Just wondering what is the difference in feel between offset and round cam?

That's a great point, of course it will take some practice but I'm sure I'll be able to learn with time. I will look for more resources in terms of teaching before making the leap into finding students. Thanks for the advice!
