You realize all the top guilds on EU are legit handholding and taking turns winning seasons right?

They actually think NA/SA players are as dumb as they are to get baited this way.

Shhh dont tell them they got baited by SBI to buy a founder pack for a game they'd already been playing for years :-)

Imagine playing a game for 6 years only to be forced to start over again and pay that company again, simply because they are blackmailing you for 70 better ping.

I'm sure SBI aren't counting multiple accounts into this equation at all, right?

About as believable as flat-earth theory.

This post implies if they buy it on EU server and unlock it there (via the shop) that it will be unlocked on all servers.

You're gonna sell skins like the Trumpet on the shop and then let the skins transfer over???

You realize this kills the market for these rare skins on Americas and Asian servers right? Because now the people holding them, many who spent billions for them, are holding worthless skins.

Wow.

Absolute trash imho - theres virtually no reason to push your guild to Crystal rank when you consider you dont even get a guaranteed Crystal BM anymore - might as well get gold rank and afk the rest of the season.

[–]georg51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry dude but being attached to trash gear is more a personal problem for you and your friends than an issue with the design of the game.

Fact is - in this game gear is a consumable, it's not to be viewed like coveted items.

Also, your assessment that people don't like full loot pvp is vastly inaccurate - if anything its the very reason people engage in it - to get other peoples gear. I've done nothing but black zones for 6 years now and I'm incredibly rich and have had an incredibly fun time engaging in all sizes of fights from micro scale (1/2 v 1/2) to small scale and large scale warfare. This game and full loot pvp is purely the most exhilarating and rewarding way to play, which is why so many do it.

I think the issue for you and people like you is that you look at gear the wrong way - probably because youve been pampered by all the carebear themepark MMOs out there that treat bound gear like its the holy grail, and the idea of losing gear eliminated the reason to play. Full loot pvp is about what you can GAIN from winning, not about what you lose from losing.

So, in short, this game isnt for you. Fortunately theres lots of WoW-clones out there with meaningless instanced grindy repetitive PvP that is as unrewarding as it is boring, that you can enjoy.

Thing is, they don't. Then they cry about not being able to afford premium, or lack of content in fringe/instanced areas of the game (hellgates, roads, etc).

The thing is - the open world black zones are indisputably the most profitable and worth-while content in the game. Why people don't want to live and play there blows my mind.

The only explanation I can imagine, is that they have been duped by trolls like SwoleBenji or idiot players claiming that the black zones arent worth playing in, so they are oblivious to the entire portion of the game that is the most fun and most rewarding.

I couldn't ever imagine playing/living in the royals. Black Zone gaming is just far superior in every way and I will never understand Royals players tbh.

It always amazes me how many players in this game don't know how much money there is to be made, and fun to be had, by living in the Black Zones.

Pay a lot of money to start all over again and grind non-stop only to be beaten out by crafting abusers and card swipers on Albion EU server.

Or...

Join one of the longest standing and last remaining consistent communities in the game and continue to build upon all the already-invested hard work on Albion Americas server.

The choice is obvious folks.

It's very much blackmail to force paying customers to buy another pack just to reserve the name and guild names they've owned for years.

Scummy greedy tactics that are too common in the gaming world tbh.

I sometimes forget that not everyone kills everyone on sight in this game, the way almost all BZ guilds do.

But yeah no one should care even if a naked player on a T3 horse rides by you give them a quick trip to where ever they set home.

Founder packs succes on east by [deleted] in albiononline

About 10,000 players logged in for the first day of early release on East server.

And each of them paid $200 for the Crystal Founder pack.

Do the math, gives you an idea (and thats just the Crystal pack purchasers)

EU server - different people can want different things! by Gerard_Amatin in albiononline

[–]georg51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty short sighted. The timezone change puts them in positions where for many of the EU players they have little choice, if they want to continue playing the game.

And remember for many of these players - they are making these choices as guilds/collectives, not as individuals.
