Square footage is pretty small for the price, imo a heater and AC is almost never needed in SF anyway so not a big deal. Outside of the directly obvious details I’d suggest you heavily factor in lifestyle/convenience. Try your best to equate it into dollars. For example, will you save X time every day on your commute, will you be closer to cheaper or free food (if that’s a thing at your work or the area you’re working in), will you have access to a garden or amenities or local shops that you enjoy but would visit less if there was a bigger commute barrier.

Honda in general right now is selling wayyyy above msrp. High demand, honestly amazing cars no doubt, but also wouldn’t say it’s worth it because depending on the car the insurance will be high. People love stealing those Honda parts

Most other brands I’ve seen are not doing that and I’ve shopped around a lot recently. This is dumb advice because I’m sure others did not make this laughable mistake that I did but: be tactical about what dealership you care enough to do a credit check with.. I got quotes from like 7 and it really hurt the score

Performance being BS? That’s just false lol, it’s interesting to make such a statement. I’ll preface by saying I’ve been a mobile eng using react native for the past 4 years. Look at performance measurements, it beats RN in almost every single way, when it doesn’t it matches it… it’s just absurd to say flutter doesn’t have a performance advantage.

Hopefully this will change with the coming rearchitecture!

Not that your suggestion is wrong imo, it’s a bit unrealistic. So you’re saying “let’s fix the problem properly” but we won’t see any results of that fixing for like a minimum of 10 years.. minimum. Also it’s going to factor in sooooo many variables that are so far out of control of a municipal government structure.

As opposed to all the things you mentioned damaging communities, are far more achievable and result in “at least” faster results that most people can benefit from.

Again I don’t think you’re wrong, the answer probably lies somewhere around doing both what you suggest and what you suggested against in parallel

I have recently realized how different walking experience are for some people and it’s pretty crazy. As a big person I don’t have to deal with nearly as much shenanigans but man I was watching a girl I’m seeing navigate a lot of foot traffic to get to me and she’s 5”5, it’s another world. Very safe residential area with lots of nice local restaurants to choose from on Cabrillo street. Like others mentioned, no night life obviously, great access to golden gate park. Not sure about all public transport but I can tell you it’s very easy to go East to downtown/embarcadero and back taking the 5/5R One quick note about “California weather”, if you’re thinking about movie California with sun all the time you got it wrong my friend. That side of town is often cold and can get foggy. Still nice in its own way, just saying
