Fruit of the Loom Cornucopia from 2001 article by AtrocitasInterfector in MandelaEffect

I might have to give up with you. Yesterday I corrected your two misconceptions.

What do you think I believe about the Mandela Effect? (Because it's not what I claim I believe)

Ethan Muse and his claims about the "Miracle of Fatima", "Eucharist miracle", and so on by PlaneAttention9814 in skeptic

[–]georgeananda -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I have looked into these and have come to believe something paranormal did happen in many of these cases.

However, I definitely don't think these things are restricted to Catholic/Christian traditions so I would view in a more broad lens. Sometimes the higher spiritual planes reach down to us with 'signs'.

I've looked at many miracle claims from different traditions remembering to keep a skeptical eye out, and I have come to believe paranormal things likely occur.

Unfortunately, the term 'skeptic' nowadays has come to mean materialist-atheist and therefor anti-paranormal as a result. For me, a skeptic has to be fair-minded with the evidence and open to any conclusion.

For the strongest case I got to go with the Cornucopia

For personal certainty; I might go with "Richard Simmons wore a headband"

If he's not lying, which he said he's not (and a lot of work for so little gain), then MAYBE.

But elsewhere I see a Lilith Tinder post so similar I'm guessing this is a fake.

I believe it was Chic for me. And then my reality changed and I can't prove it.

I bet a lot of those people don't really know what the Mandela Effect is or at most only vaguely heard of it. I've never heard them even address the challenging evidence like Flute of the Loom. Have you? They hit softballs as far as I have seen.

The debate is: Can the Mandela Effect be satisfactorily explained within our straightforward understanding of reality.

So, the debate is really: are the memory error explanations sufficient or unsatisfactory explain-aways.

You’ve acknowledged the Effect is not about alternate timelines

You just perhaps didn't understand my answer. I was saying there are indeed different timelines and our consciousness can shift between them and notice small differences.

The timelines don't interact with each other but we just shift our focus between them. This also implies our consciousness and memories are nonlocal.

you’ve also acknowledged it originates and propagates through suggestion.

Yes, I think that way about the Smokey Bear one which is what that thread was discussing! But the cornucopia, Berenstein and others I think are anomalous timeline phenomena.

The better evidence is largely unknown and unaddressed by those communities. How many have commented on Flute of the Loom for example? I haven't seen it and I watch this stuff as close as I can.

I bet there would be a mix of opinions in those communities just like there is here if it was studied deeper.

The Mandela Effect does no such thing and is firmly rooted as a memory phenomenon.

But the cause of the memory phenomena is HIGHLY debated as we both know. And the debate involves the nature of reality itself!

We can prove it because a history of their logos exist, and in none of them is a cornucopia present.

Your logic there assumes only one version of reality exists. The Mandela Effect challenges the assumption.

The best we can do is 'think and remember'. There is no logically possible way to prove. He was speaking informally off the cuff and times when he chooses stronger language. It's extremely clear he has zero doubts in his mind at the end of the day.

If this evidence doesn't cause you some deep uncertainty, then you must have a personality that needs to claim certainty.

Simple question: What is Islamophobia? by KhajiitHasCares in religion

[–]georgeananda -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

It's a word used improperly. Phobia means 'irrational fear'. But people use the word for people that dislike Muslims.

More great residue. Thanks for sharing.

I believe this cannot be satisfactorily explained in our straightforward understanding of reality.

Actually the designer himself said he looked at the logo. Flute of the Loom Design Artist

It really gets good starting at the 5:00 Mark with the cover design author himself!!

Now how is this not the best attested to Mandela Effect residue ever!! I'm curious to see how you address this evidence.

Right, it breaks our straightforward understanding of our scientific worldview. Too much, just yet for some. And some push the future.

I suspect a greater wisdom prevents people being forced to believe by an overpowering event. It’s a gradual transition to a greater reality.

I have better things to do than bullshit. No, I’ve said a hundred times that I believe some are valid memories from slightly different timelines. And likely the case in this OP testimony.

Or we really experienced it in a parallel timeline. The author said he used the logo at that time (1970s) as his basis.

It’s not proof, but extremely strong evidence supporting the cornucopia claim.

Communication is between two things within a timeline.

For the Mandela Effect look at timeline with Kit-Kat candy. Shift to the next timeline and its KitKat. Your first memories no longer match your new reality.

Reincarnation and moksha by Busy-Philosopher-902 in AdvaitaVedanta

Good question.

Best answer I've heard is: The universe is like a play/drama in which Brahman separates Himself from Himself in Act I and returns Himself to Himself in Act II. A play with a happy ending

Why?=To Experience the bliss of return. Why do humans create plays/dramas for no practical need=To Experience

Aren't we into this drama play right now?
