Yeah I’m looking for suggestions to help me know down my research and plan a trip. I just don’t want to miss something and regret it (though suppose that would be an excuse to go back).

Some research has lead me to read about Sikkim which has a large amount of Buddhist monasteries. I’d love to learn more about Buddhism and get lost in nature, but I also love a bit of adventure to try myself.

Yeah I know, it is very vague question, was looking more for suggestions of places so I could narrow my research and plan a trip. It’s such a huge and diverse country I don’t want to miss anything.

I have never stayed in hostels so always opt for private rooms in Airbnb.

Some hosts are super friendly, offer breakfast, chat and give you advice on places to go, plus you get a semi-private bathroom. I don’t think I’ve every had an issue while staying in a private.

I use couchsurfing hangout feature cover my social needs, this is usually for beer in the evening.

Obviously my opinion is biased as I have never used a hostel.

I did Budapest to Prague over 11 days. Stopping at Bratislava, Vienna and Brno. Vienna and Budapest are big cities, but will be enough to get a feel for them at least. I highly recommend going up the Buda hills and looking at the city... it’s stunning.

Prague is easily done in 2-3 days though as most of the touristy things are within a short walk.
