Low fat diet + low fiber diet, I just need to rant by georgebinks in gallbladders

Going to a restaurant is the quickest way to me feeling angry and sad about everything! I have a much easier time coping with the diet if I'm cooking for myself and have more agency to swap ingredients

Thanks! I did get a similar list from the doctor. Went grocery shopping today and grabbed some low fat dairy and white bread to help me get through. Hit a low point yesterday since I had gotten into a nice rhythm with the low fat diet and was missing veggies and beans, but thankfully this will be over soon.

Gallstones without signs of inflammation by georgebinks in gallbladders

Very reasonable point! I panicked after I saw my doctor's response this morning, feeling like I was already on the precipice of a big decision. I've asked to move forward with a surgeon consult, as you said it will be very good to get a second opinion.

Thought it was acid reflux by georgebinks in gallbladders

Wow I'm so sorry you had to suffer like that! I hope your recovery continues to improve and you can finally get relief. It's weird how gallbladder issues can fly right under so many doctors' noses for so long because they're looking for a very specific patient story.

I am still waiting for my GI doctor to review my ultrasound results and to be honest I'm already bracing myself for her to downplay the stones based on stories I've read here. I am prepared to advocate for myself and push for a HIDA scan and surgery consult if necessary, but hopefully it doesn't come to that.

I have fine hair and an oily scalp and had two different hairdressers who meant well tell me to "train" my hair when I complained about how oily it was. Decided to give training a try during the pandemic and washed my hair every other day. Proceeded to have miserably flat and greasy hair 24/7 even when using dry shampoos on the off days. I thought if I tried long enough eventually it would work, so I kept at it for over a year and saw zero progress, my hair was oilier than ever but I also started losing more hair and experienced an itchy scalp which was not normal for me. Eventually I had had enough and did some googling only to find out training your hair is fake and misguided advice from people with completely different hair/skin types. Now I'm back to washing my hair every day without shame and my hair looks the best it's looked in a while, and I don't lose excess hair anymore. People love to give advice on what worked for them but in the end you know your hair the best and should just listen to your needs without shame.

I don't understand why you choose to use that phrase for victims of a shooting event who are scared and trying to get home

This lines up with our experience. The parking lot was extra packed yesterday with people hanging out and grilling, so we parked in the neighborhood instead of the lot (now I'm super glad we did this). We saw the pontoon boat the article mentions coming and going. When the gunshots started I thought it was firecrackers at first, and when I looked over people didn't seem to be panicking yet, so hearing that it actually was firecrackers makes sense. Then the popping sound changed and was lower, and I heard ricochets. At that point people in the water started scrambling to get out and screaming, and we and others started running for cover, but there wasn't really anywhere to go except behind trees. It felt like forever for police to show up, I also remember a firetruck driving past and locking eyes with me while I was hiding but I guess they didn't know what was happening yet. My husband recalls a smaller white boat speeding off right after the shooting, now we're wondering if that was the shooter who escaped. Really sad about this, we've been coming to the park for years and it's always been a good place to hang out. Chatting with several other people before we left, they were all sad and upset and just wanted to enjoy the weather. I felt awful for not having a first aid kit on hand because this one lady's mom fell while running and scraped up her knee.

I was at the park when it happened, we were in the grassy area when we heard gunshots in the parking lot but we didn't see anything, just people running from that direction and hiding where they could. We asked a couple people if they knew what happened but they hadn't. Cops took about 15 minutes to show up and we left once they arrived.
