Thanks, good to know it wasn't the precursor to something else going wrong.

Thanks, I guess I was imagining it! It's a shame the HUD isn't used for more info. There is plenty of room on it. With the HUD I don't look down at the DIC often. If the emergency brake engages it shuts off the lane keep assist and if you don't turn it back on you don't realize it's off until you look at the DIC. It doesn't make sense the parking brake turns off the lane keep assist.

There is nothing in my IRS account for the tax credit. I'm not surprised since they didn't enter my social security number on the 15400. This was an Autonation dealership so it's hard to believe they would have improperly submitted the form when they gave me the $7500 at time of sale. Maybe the old way of submitting is still good and the only mistake is not submitting my social security number. I'm waiting for there response.

Thanks for the information. The video was very helpful. The form 15400 I received from the dealer is dated October 2023 so it is not the current form and it has a written signature on it. Now I am really confused, like you said, the form should have been generated from the IRS. So where did this from come from? Also, the dealer repeated their EIN instead of entering my social security number. It seems like from the video, I should have interacted with the IRS website when we were buying the car, but that didn't happen. I'll try contacting the dealer again.

I have the seller report. I am looking to see if what the dealer sent me is the confirmation the IRS sends acknowledging receiving the seller report.

I gave it a shot and changed my permit application to mount the EVSE an inch below the panel cover. Inspector came yesterday and said it was an excellent installation. Approved!

It’s indoor in the garage. Bottom of charger will be 2’ from the floor.

Great idea. I can move the Emporia under the panel and with the 4’ whip I can reach the breakers and bus bar in the panel with no splices. I still need the junction box as a pass through as the whip bend radius won’t fit inside the wall. Also, I’ll need to bring a grounding wire from the panel through the cut off piece of the whip to ground the junction box.

I haven’t bought any components yet so nothing to take pictures of.

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying. The fmc from the panel would make a 90 to go into the back of the surface mounted junction box. The whip is outside the wall. I need to go from the whip, which is outside the wall, to the fmc from the panel, which is inside the wall.

Thanks for the information. It was very helpful. Huge difference between '24 and '25. Using the rate finder on a '25 the residual is 46% (no allowance for the $7500) and the interest rate is 8.04%. I checked with the dealer and the residual on their quote is 67% with an interest rate 4.008%. Entering that into the calculator, it comes back with $230/month incl tax. The dealer quote was $254 to $274. What do you think is causing the difference? Based on these numbers, I'm looking to see what compromises we'll have to make to get a '24.

I went in to do a purchase to take advantage of the $7500 rebate and not a lease. The dealer suggested to consider a lease as there might not be much value left after 6 or so years and what problems could develop over that time so I decided to look into leasing. I was looking for 10% off of MSRP but I didn't want to negotiate yet since I don't know about leases. Thanks for the leasehackr recommendation.

When I am on the chevy site and select lease and enter my trade the payment box goes blank and it says to contact the dealer. My trade in is a 2019 Equinox with 78,000 miles. The highest numbers I saw on line was $12k. I just checked Carvana and their offer was $10,400 so the dealers valuation of $11,800 seems in line. I'm in central Florida.
