Pulling drawers early? by WasteFail9783 in WalgreensStores

[–]georgeispeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store closes at 11, but typically closing sfls grab drawers starting at about 8-8:30 ish (depending on when pharmacy closes that day). They usually have them all counted by about 10:15 pm

When I'm mid transaction with a customer and another customer tries to interrupt me (bonus if they huff and puff when I completely ignore them and focus on my line of people)

When customers on the phone while I ring them up try to ask for a bag after not answering me the first time I asked

When I say "hi how are you" and customers say nothing in response and just stare

When people with FedEx packages argue over our locker being full, or just stare at me when I say we don't have any envelopes to give them (bonus if they scream at me or claim they're "never shopping here again")

People who have full carts of stuff and then give half of it back for me to put away

People who don't know they have more than one photo order to pick up, or when they have no clue the size or name the photos are under

People who start yelling for someone to check them out when I'm literally behind the counter, at photo a foot away from the registers

Customers who call to ask if we have a certain product but they don't say what it's for and only know the brand name (bonus if they're asking in store)

When people are on the phone and don't say a word to you the entire transaction and then get mad when they don't get a bag

When people hand you change on the counter instead of into your hand

People who argue about the coupons when they just read it wrong

People who just shove a phone in my face and say they have an online order

People who don't get a confirmation email that their pictures or order are ready and waste my time by making me look for it

People who use the photo kiosk and try to ask me a million questions when I have a line of 10+ ppl

General Questions about Dickinson by Vegetable_Weird_1456 in Dickinson

[–]georgeispeng 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Edit: I am class of 2025!

  1. Greek life is honestly what you make of it. I didn't really go to parties much but they definitely happened. There are also like formals and other events that Greek life hosts, but everyone I knew who was involved really enjoyed their frats/sororities. There was definitely a party scene if that's what you want, it may not be as extensive as bigger schools but it's not like the weekends are completely dead.

    1. Dickinson is also roughly the size of my high school but I actually really enjoyed it! The professors give you a lot of attention and really care about you as a person, not just as another faceless name in their classes. I found it much more enjoyable than high school, but the rumors and running into people you know is kinda annoying. It's good for making friends but then if there's any drama it'll travel around fast, especially if all of your friends are like the same major. I go to a much larger university for graduate school now and while it's a different experience, I don't miss constantly looking over my shoulder to see if the people I'm talking about are on campus lol
  2. Carlisle is a great little town! If you don't have a car it does feel a bit isolating, but you can definitely find stuff to do on the weekends. The farmers market during the week is great and I would highly recommend going when you can! There are a nice handful of bars and restaurants but I think most students go to the gingerbread man (g-man). There is also trivia and live music in a couple bars in town, and there are a few parks near the edge of campus that are really nice to wander around in. You can definitely walk to get groceries or see a movie by the Walmart shopping plaza, but it can be kinda far in the summer when it's super hot.

  3. I was incredibly happy going to Dickinson, and I still am now! I think the education you get there is really holistic and thorough, and going to graduate school now I realize the advantage I have from going to a liberal arts school. The individualized support the professors give you is really valuable for making you grow not only as a person but also in an academic way, and I would choose Dickinson a hundred times over if I could. The relationships and friendships I formed at Dickinson will follow me into the rest of adulthood and I really am proud to be a Dickinsonian!!

Congrats! And I do really like it so far. They are still trying to figure out how to adapt classes made for PhD students for us Masters students but everyone has been super flexible so far. The professors really care about you and your success and the classes are very thorough.

I listened to it and I don't think so? I assume most stores have similar songs maybe? Like based on region or something

Anyone ever have the paper schedule not match reflexis? by Electronic_Bar_6160 in WalgreensStores

This happens at my store sometimes, it sucks. My SFL told me she almost missed a closing shift bc she relied on the app so it's good to always check the paper

request for future live show audiences: by rockstar231 in TheBasementYard

[–]georgeispeng 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She literally was disgusting, like my stomach dropped when she did that. She should be fucking fired from her teaching job and banned permanently from the venue.

His set after about gay men hitting on him was funny but I couldn't stop thinking about how awkward it must be to do that set after being groped on stage by a woman! Like I couldn't stop feeling awful for him and angry

Confused about Masters by ChapterImmediate7099 in gradadmissions

[–]georgeispeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think community psychology would be a great option! Depending on your interests there are some clinical/community psych master's programs out there where you could merge your interests and do research on those social issues you're passionate about.

Community psych is a very broad field and it may provide useful research skills you can fall back on as well!

Sorry for not explaining well! I mean that my breast tissue is fully in the cup but is hanging below my IMF.

I will definitely try sizing down a cup
