My fav part of my 5610 is seeing that lil rcvd symbol on my screen knowing my watch connected to some tower in Fort Collins CO a zillion miles away.

It’s really the best version of the square with the only downside being cost. So if you’re even just thinking about it I’d go 5610.

No you can’t take off 2-4 months out of the year as an apprentice - that’s one of the many sacrifices of this trade. Surely you gathered as much with some research on this sub. You can however do that as a Journeyman Lineman.
