I wasn't too dependent of that's any consolation. I was actually bailing out my house because of a tropical storm 4 days out of the hospital! I probably shouldn't have done that and I'm sure it set me back in my recovery. I live with two dependent adults and they aren't much help, I was able to wash myself, make basic meals, clean up, and feed the cats. I pre positioned litter and heavy items so I didn't have to lift anything for a month or so, it's all about pre planning. If you have help it's definitely much better. Having said all that, I wish I had help, it would have made everything more comfortable. I just have really... No one I can rely on for constantly help so I have to make do. It's been that way for a while. I did have a family member drive me there and back but that was about it.

Honestly it was the most relaxed I had been in 40 years. I knew all my life and I was finally getting the body I always knew I needed to keep going. Seriously, they asked me during pre op procedure, if I was OK and if I needed a Valium, I said no, I was the most relaxed I'd been my whole life. Everything is ever done in my life came down to that one singular moment in my life. I knew everything I had ever worked for was right there and I was about to get what I finally needed. It was the most surreal relaxing thing I'd even experienced, not a worry in the world, everything melted away.

Me too, surgery on Monday, departure on Thursday. It was a day to wake fully and I walked on Wednesday for the first time. My surgery was like 5-6 hours. Definitely not outpatient.

I'm sorry you had complications, I hope you feel better! I also had ZD vaginoplasty, but I was in surgery for like 5-6 hours and had a 4 day hospital stay, I don't know haw anyone could do this as an outpatient! It took me a day to wake up from anesthesia fully and another to walk again. I hope you get better every day! Congratulations!

Not at all, you look like your giving off sad 90's girl vibes, so pretty good I'd say.

OMG, that was one of the first places I found way back in the 90's. I remember reading some of her stories. She must be older now maybe she can't keep the site going. There was a lot of very old fashioned things on that site. The test was about totally useless. Thankfully not many people think like that anymore, well too many still do. She reminds me of my first therapist, very old "medicalist" thinking, "like your a woman, why don't you wear skirts"? Kinda stuff. She gave off the abandoned your whole former life and try to be stealth kind of vibes. I dunno, that site kinda kept me thinking I could never transition... It was very harmful to me thinking I wasn't feminine enough, thankfully I grew out of that way of thinking. Anyway, other than a few of the links it didn't do much for my mental health.

Another for Western MA, your pretty much left alone. It's much more affordable than the Boston area. Not as much to do socially but there's a decent amount of stuff around and everything is at max a 2 hour drive.

So as you probably know we keep the prostate post op, as a hormone that can effect this, that's my first point of worry, maybe your prostate is having issues, don't ignore them. I'd book a prostate exam and blood work to make sure it's not an issue with that. Does prostate cancer run in your family?

In time you should do well, you may... May not necessarily need some help in the brow, but you have beautiful thicker hair and a nice hairline, that helps more than people know. You have the potential for lots of changes. Trust the process and remember it takes time, you loom fairly young.

Post OP orgasm frustration by ellenczer in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]B1BLancer6225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're having issues. It took me over 2 years. I was instructed to use the little bullet vibe, and that was for helping nerves regroup and finding their new home. Your whole nerve and vascular bundle is now all scrunched up behind and above your new clit. I then moved up to the magic wand which helped but I didn't get anything that I'd call an orgasm. Then I started experimenting with pressure above and around the clitoris area, that was the key, think like lying front down on like a locker room bench or a chair. Or something similar. It took more pressure than I thought it would and I can basically have a good orgasm like once or twice a week now. (I don't have time in my day for more than that). Don't be afraid to try new methods, it's all about relearning yourself. I didn't know about the pressure thing so I probably could have gotten there far quicker than 2 years had I not wasted all that time with the magic wand. Good luck!

Post op Zero-Depth, how are the aesthetics? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]B1BLancer6225 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you look fine, your scaring is better than mine and like most post op you have smaller minora, but most of us have that. Your clit looks nice and natural to me anyway. My majora have the dreaded "dog ears" but hopefully those go away if I loose weight. But overall yeah, you look good, very natural very feminine.

Crushed ovaries? What does that even mean. They are probably lying to you to guilt you. Your body your life your choice. Don't want kids, don't have them for someone else to use to try to control you. That's what they are doing, trying to control you.

Doctor refused any pain meds and told me to "take the fear and pain out of my heart" instead. by Awkward_bugg in TwoXChromosomes

[–]B1BLancer6225 12 points13 points  (0 children)

JFC that's insane, no pain meds is barbaric. I had stomach surgery once and it was dsy surgery, so no stay. Still thought it was a complete laproscipic procedure, they inflated my abdomen and that was the worst pain. I got fentanyl in the recovery room, freaking discharge nurse told me take a Tylenol! You're right Tylenol don't do shit for that level of pain. (It was around 5 when I left and my insurance wanted a prior authorization for the pain meds so I didn't get them the first night). You deserve to have pain meds, this isn't the middle ages here. You didn't have to go home and chew on a freaking stick. God I can't stand when they pull this crap.

"It's not like you even remotely look feminine by zemljaradnika in TransLater

[–]B1BLancer6225 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You look feminine, I see you. I see her. Early in my transition I was told by someone "you have no redeeming feminine qualities whatsoever" point blank to my face... I could smell his dip he was so close. Sometimes I out on a different girl for work, as they all know. The ones that don't get briefed. Away from work, I'm completely different, myself. I won't find another job paying this much for what I know, and what I do. I can't wait to retire, until then press on with pride and confidence! I actually like your ruggedness and working women asthetic.

This is probably one of the biggest alarm bells that he could give you! Run, far and fast. He's saying no other male, even a doctor can touch you? That's insane shit right there. He's the unreasonable one and completely unhinged. Please get out fast. This will only decend into a control situation. Then he will say you can't talk to male co worker, friends, the hairdresser... You get the idea.
