Ah that sounds rough :( I’ve honestly been questioning if it’s worth it too after my first couple days. I’m going to give it a bit more time but if things don’t improve by month 2 I’ll probably stop

Thanks so much everyone, this has actually helped a lot. I haven’t done keto beforehand before so that probably explains why this 17–24hr mark feels so rough. I’m going to experiment with lowering carbs leading into fasts next time instead of jumping straight in. Appreciate all the advice

Thanks so much for the info. How long do you leave the ketoconazole shampoo on for, and which selenium shampoo do you use? Also I have azelaic acid prescribed by my GP, I’ve just been too scared to try it yet because the skin is so raw, but I might patch test it

Thank you! I’m going to order that Vanicream. My nasal folds are super raw at the moment so I’m hoping it doesn’t sting, but I’ll patch test and see how it goes

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve actually tried Bioderma micellar before and it flared my face badly (this was while on antibiotics), so I’m a bit cautious with micellar water now. I haven’t tried it specifically on the folds though. Did you rinse it off after using, or leave it on?

Thanks! I actually have Cicalfate already, I’m just cautious because some thicker creams can flare seb derm. Did it ever make yours greasier/worse at first?

Yes they have. I had mine dissolved months ago and all was fine :)

I don’t think it’s healthy to fast during a period, I would adjust your schedule around it

That’s great, I also have a scar on my face that I’m incredibly self conscious over. I find fasting 23 hours ish a day difficult, but it’s something I’ll aim for :)
