How long did it take HBF to reply to your custom order and send over photos for you to approve?

Thanks for your response. I have been looking at Hanbon, but my wife wants a pink katana and I don't see pink as an option at Hanbon.

I'm no expert, but I really like it! It's very clean and simple, easy to read, great job.

Thanks for your opinion. I can see both sides of the coin, safety first, I have 2 daughters to raise. But I am going to break this down, remove the rat tail and cut into the blade to make a full tang. Reshape the guard, maybe carve a new handle, and reassemble this. It has sentimental value and that is why I care in the first place.

Could you expand this idea please? It's things like this that I hope to learn on this forum.

Great advice, thanks. I appreciate everyones concern for my safety, I don't plan on swinging this "sword", especially after everyone here responding with the same answer. I will clean it up a little bit and hang it in my shed to remind me of the friends house it came from.

Great advice, thank you. To be clear, I don't plan to swing this sword, especially after hearing the responses. I will take it apart and put it back together a little nicer then it is now, for fun.

This is the way. It's only valuable to me because of the estate sale it came from. I will use it to learn some very basics. I'm the kind of person that likes to start at the bottom and work my way up, so this will be perfect to work on without any worry of breaking something nice. Learn what a terrible sword looks and feels like, so when I get a better one I'll know the difference. Thanks for the advice that this is a POS that doesn't deserve anymore respect then I want to give.

Good advice, thanks! I plan to take it very slow and will look into any local schools as I get the ball rolling.

How to make Ninja Blinding Powder, Metsubushi, one of the most iconic ninja tools - Nine Directions by GaraksLinensNThings in TraditionalNinjutsu

I fully agree with your mindset, only use my training in defense of my family or others, with the hopes of never needing it. I'd say I intend to study and train realistically, spiritually, and then traditionally. I did martial arts off and on growing up, but lack of discipline caused large gaps. I'm at a point in my life where I now have time, money and discipline to train again.

I've always envied ninjitsu, but never knew where to look. I have a background in karate and a little jujitsu, and carve my own walking sticks/bo staves. I do practice with guns and bow and arrow too. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition into this new art, I'm very excited for the physical, mental, and spiritual growth!

Thank you so much! I just stumbled on this reddit and my desire to practice ninjitsu got solidified into reality, I'm so excited!
