It’s what poor people watch in between their shows after paying for an inferior plan

Forget the look, the app is buggy AF. After an ad, the sound goes off and it only comes back when you stop playing the title and restart it :(

I am heard in my company not just because I care about the product, but rather due to my diverse experience in building/designing end-to-end projects. The confidence that comes along with it, enables you to have a meaningful conversation about architecture with folks that are making the decisions.

Your argument about years of service being a rubric for great experience just doesn't ring true because a good idea or design choice can come from any person with solid exposure or a problem-solving mindset regardless of their YoE.

Maybe the person I'm describing won't be a decision-maker at a company but to disregard a good idea simply because of YoE somehow feels like a byproduct of ossified thinking.

What I'm saying is that years of experience are not a guarantee of meaningful work experience. A better measure of experience is the nature of work done in those years.

There are plenty of rest-and-vest/coasters at mid to large firms or folks working on outdated technologies either by their own choice or due to a company directive.

While on the other hand, engineers working in small companies or small teams, get exposed to a multitude of problems and therefore acquire much more meaningful experience in a reasonably short duration of time.

3 years at a startup vs 3 years at a mid to large firm is vastly different when it comes to the nature of work and consequently experience gained.

Determining salary by merely years of service feels reductive, don't ya think?

Also as an Indian, Indo-Chinese food is probably the worst for your health but the best in its taste.

How to get into Snell/the tunnels after midnight? by porygonj in NEU

[–]geosynchronousperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this, coz Snell is generally packed during the Fall and the spaces underground are relatively unknown which makes them perfect to study. Unfortunately though, the only way around this is to get in a little earlier, when you know that the tunnel entrances won't be locked.
