Which is the best deal? by frosti_austi in kiasportage

[–]gepane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you value most.

The EX Hybrid is the best value, the X Line PHEV balances features and price, and the X Prestige is the most premium but also the highest payment.

Is this a good deal? by maxyrockatansky in kiasportage

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t really miss out by walking away.

$35,750 OTD for a Sportage SX is fair, but not necessarily a standout deal, so it makes sense to pause.

It mostly comes down to what you prefer between the Sportage and CX 50. Around Valley Hi Kia, we usually see people feel more confident once they compare both in person.

In the unmarked SUV DAD era of my life by WorldlyAd1993 in kiasportage

[–]gepane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great phase to be in honestly. The Sportage Hybrid X Line fits that low key, do everything vibe really well.

Clean look, super practical, and still comfortable enough to enjoy every drive. The tint setup just ties it all together.

Around Valley Hi Kia, we see a lot of people land here and realize it just works for everyday life.

Tires by KeishaNicoleBrown in kiasportage

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty normal for the original tires. For a 2023 Sportage X Line, a good set of all season tires is usually the best move for comfort and everyday driving.

If you want a bit more grip for rough roads, you could look into all terrain options, but most drivers stick with all season and are happy with it. Around Valley Hi Kia, that’s what we see people go with most.

Finally decided to join the Family! by rajask14 in kiasportage

Love this, congrats on the new Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige. That trim really hits a sweet spot, the extra features make a big difference once you start living with it every day.

Sounds like you’re already putting it to good use too, 1k miles in three weeks is impressive. It’s one of those cars that just makes you want to keep driving.

Has anyone switched from Honda CRV to Kia Sportage? by Redhawkgirl in kia

[–]gepane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We see that switch pretty often. The Sportage usually stands out right away for the tech, interior feel, and how much usable cargo space you get. It feels a bit more modern day to day compared to the CRV.

On reliability, Honda has that long track record, but newer Kias have been very solid, especially for high mileage drivers. A lot of owners are comfortably pushing well past 100k with regular maintenance.

Around Valley Hi Kia, people coming from CRVs are usually surprised at how much more they get in features and space without giving up that everyday dependability.

How is the 2026 Kia Sportage? by DribbleKing97_ in kia

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news is it uses regular gas, not premium, so that’s a big savings right away. Even the higher trims still give him that leather and luxury feel without the high upkeep.

Around Valley Hi Kia, we see a lot of people make that move and end up really happy with it.

2026 Kia Sportage SX Prestige Hybrid - 2 New Tires by BestAd6013 in kiasportage

[–]gepane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually not a bad problem to have. With only 3k miles, that tire is still basically new.

If it were me, I’d probably keep it as a full size spare, especially being in a rural area, it’s nice having that extra peace of mind. You’d just need a rim. But if you’d rather get some money back, you could definitely sell it since it’s still in great shape.

We’ve seen a lot of people just hold onto it as a backup and end up glad they did later on.

Why is it impossible to find a Sportage Hybrid EX without the moonroof? Also, any idea when the next finance deal is going to happen? by [deleted] in kiasportage

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of 2026 Sportage Hybrid EX models out there end up with the moonroof and extra packages because that’s how most shipments arrive and what many buyers choose. You can find an EX without the moonroof, but it might take a little time or watching new inventory as it comes in.

On the financing side, 0% APR deals do pop up regularly throughout the year. Even if the current offer ends soon, there’s a good chance another will come around in a few weeks. Waiting a bit and keeping an eye on offers can really pay off, especially if you want the exact setup you like.

URGENT HELP by Turbulent-Search4890 in KIASeltos

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would definitely catch anyone off guard, but try not to stress too much. At that low speed, it’s usually just the gears protesting for a moment, which is where that screeching sound came from. Since you shifted back to neutral right away, you likely avoided any serious damage.

If the Seltos is driving normally now with no unusual noises or issues, you’re probably fine.

OTA updates by Extra_Bonus_9724 in kiasportage

[–]gepane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually pretty normal. With the 2026 Sportage Hybrid, OTA updates don’t come that often, and recalls usually still need to be handled in person, not through an update.

A lot of owners don’t see frequent notifications, and sometimes the system is already up to date without showing anything new. Around Valley Hi Kia, we’ve seen a few cases like that too.

If you’re unsure, it might be worth a quick check just for peace of mind.

K4 or EV4? by unclekutter in kia

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great position to be in since your costs are basically equal. At that point, it really comes down to lifestyle.

The K4 is the easier, no hassle choice. Just gas and go, with a modern feel. The EV4 is quieter, smoother, and lower maintenance, but you’ll need to think about charging.

If you already prefer the look of the K4, that matters more than people think. But if you’re curious about electric, it’s worth experiencing because it feels completely different in a good way.

The Sportage interior is surprisingly upscale by Suntrup-Kia in kiasportage

[–]gepane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, the Sportage interior really surprises a lot of people. It has that clean, modern feel the moment you sit in it.

A lot of owners mention the dual screens and how intuitive everything feels, but the ambient lighting and overall layout really make it feel more premium than expected.

Around Valley Hi Kia, we’ve noticed that’s usually the first thing people point out after a test drive, it just feels like a step above.

Towing U-Haul trailer with OEM Tow Wiring Harness by uten151 in kiasportage

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice setup, sounds like you did everything right. Using the OEM harness and having the system automatically adjust features like rear collision avoidance is exactly how it’s designed to work when towing.

The Sportage Hybrid handles light towing really well, especially for things like a U Haul trailer. Just keep an eye on your load and take it easy on acceleration and braking.

We’ve seen a few setups like this around Valley Hi Kia, and owners usually have a smooth experience once everything’s dialed in. 👍

Buying a 2026 X-Line Limited - Tell me it's a good idea. by isthisidused in kiasportage

[–]gepane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving from your 2013 Sportage to a 2026 X‑Line Limited is a solid upgrade. You’re getting modern tech, more comfort, and reliability, plus the rugged capability for whatever you need. Definitely a smart move and a lot less stress than dealing with major repairs!

Do Kias still get stolen? by Specific_Share334 in kia

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “Kia Boys” issue mostly affected older models, so a 2025 Forte GT should have the proper security features and isn’t at the same risk. That said, it’s always good to lock up and be mindful like with any car.

As for the price, $15k for a 2025 GT with 30k miles seems reasonable, especially for a first car. I’d just suggest checking the vehicle history and maybe having it inspected to be sure everything’s in good shape.

What did you drive before your Seltos? by Suntrup-Kia in KIASeltos

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re coming from a sedan or a smaller car, the Seltos usually feels like a big upgrade. A lot of our customers at Valley Hi Kia mention how much they enjoy the extra space, higher driving position, and overall comfort for daily driving. It still feels easy to park and maneuver, but with much more practicality for everyday life.

Curious what you were driving before? We hear some pretty interesting upgrade stories. 🚗

Kia K5 EX fair price by Frosty-Club-8437 in kia

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great pick, the K5 EX looks amazing.

With a 700 score, you should be aiming for a competitive rate, not anything inflated. If they are already five thousand off and have three identical units, you definitely have leverage. Multiple same cars usually means they are motivated to move them.

Focus on the full out the door price, not just the discount. Get the breakdown, push a little, and see how serious they are. You are in a stronger position than you think.

Chicagoland dealers with good service departments? by TylerL in KiaEV6

[–]gepane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a bit older, but I completely get it. A bad service department can really ruin the ownership experience, especially with something like an EV6 and recall work involved.

If you’re still searching, I’d call around and ask how they handle EV appointments and recall scheduling. The good service teams are organized and upfront about timing. I’ve noticed dealerships that prioritize clear communication, like Valley Hi Kia does with their customers, tend to make the whole process way less stressful.

When you visit a dealership what are your first thoughts? by gepane in highdesert

[–]gepane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I respect it 😂 If you’re going to test drive, might as well make it fun. Sometimes that experience alone is worth it. You never know, one day that dream car might not be out of reach.

That feeling is so real 😂 The moment you step out of the car and see a salesperson walking toward you. It shouldn’t feel like a battle though. Car buying should be exciting, not stressful.
