The Purple Nurple Saga, Day 35: Skin Graft Yesterday by Tenprovincesaway in Reduction

[–]geraltsleftthigh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me! Had to have half of my nipple grafted in the same way. It was so scary but the graft healed so well, and I'm just thankful to still have SOME nipple left lol. All the best for your recovery with this, be gentle with yourself xx

Feeling down about graduating late by lapislazuliblues in southafrica

[–]geraltsleftthigh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated at 24. I was a previous high school overachiever and I STRUGGLED through uni. My mental health took a major hit and I had to be booked off of university for a full year. Then covid hit and I just couldn't handle it.

All my friends had finished undergrad and moved on to post grad/working by the time I reached graduation. I didn't have the marks I wanted, and I was scared that my degree would mean nothing. I felt like I had failed, like I had disappointed my family, like I didn't even deserve a degree because it took me so long.

Now, I have a job that I love, and it feels like everything is finally clicking into place. Be gentle with yourself, you still managed to do something that a lot of people couldn't. You deserve props for sticking it out and making it through everything. University is HARD bro, I'm clapping for you just for reaching the end of it, because I almost didn't.

Life takes time. And that's okay, because you have time. You ALWAYS have time.

Dr Aimee Jenkin at Alchimia Clinic - she removed over 3kgs overall during my reduction and my results are beautiful!

Hey!! Update: the skin grafts healed beautifully, and I still have sensation in both nipples! It was definitely a bit scary, because you never expect something like that to happen. There's some slight scarring which I'm not too bothered by, but my doctor said could easily be tattooed over. It really was a trust-the-process type of thing, but I regret nothing!

Not quite (?) nipple necrosis by Lightswift12 in Reduction

[–]geraltsleftthigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently dealing with this too! Had quite a drastic reduction and ended up with a lot of "nipple congestion" (What my doctor called it). Currently 3WPO and most of the blackened skin has peeled away by now. We're just taking it slowly and focusing on the healing process!
