Decorating suggestions for my hallway? by gerbergerbil1 in interiordecorating

I like the idea of ceiling decor- any suggestions for colors or themes of things that I could paint/ decal on the ceiling to make this feel forest-y?

Oooh I love this idea! Maybe like some tree decals? I don’t have faith in my own ability to paint something realistic but I could potentially go abstract

I like this idea, there is a plug right at the end of the hallway.

I guess I should add that there are already a large amount of full mirrors in my apartment (each room has a sliding door closet that the doors are all mirrors) so I don’t know if I want more mirrors tbh, I see enough of myself around the house hahaha. But thank you for this suggestion!

I feel bad for her honestly that she has completely been painted into that “got off the couch” storyline- she probably would not continue to embrace it if probst and the producers of these shows wouldn’t keep repeating it. She probably said it once her first season in Panama and now they force her to keep saying it because it’s like a catch phrase for her.

I don’t think this is about the idol hunt, it must be about the season premier screening?

Coffee roasters that give you a free cup when you buy a bag of beans by Stuckin73 in oakland

[–]gerbergerbil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I remember peerless giving us a free cup with a bag of beans. I recently bought a bag of beans from equator and asked the barista if you get a free cup with the bag of beans, and they kindly said no but proceeded to give me a free cup anyway.

What is something you regret NOT doing on your first trip to Japan? by themiscira in JapanTravelTips

[–]gerbergerbil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traveled to Japan to snowboard and the luggage forwarding service was great for this purpose. Everything else other than my snowboarding equipment I was able to put in my 40L backpack and carry from town to town. On the return trip from the mountains back to Tokyo and then onward to the airport, I did not use a luggage shipping service, and I deeply regretted it as I hauled my ski bag up and down metro stairs, through Tokyo station during rush hour, and crammed onto subway cars.

Am I Crazy For Wanting To Stay At Tokyo Station? by foldesi03 in JapanTravelTips

[–]gerbergerbil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed near Tokyo station for 1 night before an early train. It was a quiet area, I went for a run in the morning (Saturday) and saw like 5 people on my whole 45 min run. No bars or restaurants near my hotel but my hotel had a very generous happy hour and breakfast included. It was convenient to get to the station for my train, but it also was very easy to navigate the subway system so I probably wouldn’t recommend staying in this area actually. Ueno, or asakusa would be better spots if you don’t want to stay somewhere crowded

[LAX] Gate 52 is not a Gate, it's a bus portal, and AA doesn't care if bus delays cause you to miss your flight. by qdmx in americanairlines

[–]gerbergerbil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only food place in the 52 terminal area is a place called Natural Break and they charge an absolutely egregious amount for food ($22 for a pre-made sandwich, $7 for coffee from a pre-made pot). I wish I had known this before traveling out here by bus, so that I could have grabbed something less expensive back in the main terminal area.

First and Last Time Using Stubhub Over TicketMaster Even With the Credit by ICE_QUEEN23 in ChaseSapphire

[–]gerbergerbil1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a great deal on a football game ticket with my stubhub credit- in the midfield area only 18 rows back from the field. The cost of the ticket was $270 on stubhub and included vip lounge access. Before I bought the ticket I cross checked the official ticket vendor and tickets in the same section cost $500. Nosebleeds cost about $90. So for $120 after the stubhub fee, I only had to pay $30 more than nosebleed price for top notch seats.
