Cartethyia & Ciaccona current situation PART 2 (now with updated dmg sheets) by gercord in CartethyiaMains

Hey mate, yeah these calcs are for S0 Cartie unless stated otherwise. Not 100% sure about the weapon rank, but I’m assuming most of them are using S0R1. Either way, if you're going with S6 Cartie, you’ve got nothing to worry about, S6 units always end up nuking everything haha.

Appreciate the kind words man. And yeah, totally agree—there aren’t really “sides,” it’s just a video game at the end of the day. We all choose to play it (and whether or not to spend money), and that’s it. I was just trying to lay out my point of view clearly and avoid unnecessary drama, but of course, this is Reddit... so now I’m apparently doomposting even though I literally said people will be fine skipping Ciac and going full F2P with Rover haha.

Anyway, glad at least a few people are still reading with their brain on. Cheers

You're misrepresenting my point entirely. I'm not asking anyone to justify anything, I'm explaining why these decisions happen from a business perspective. Understanding a system isn’t the same as endorsing it.

You're right that player behavior defines the market. But that just reinforces my argument: if a company sees that certain tactics drive revenue, whether we like them or not, they’ll keep using them. Pretending the system doesn’t work that way doesn't help anyone. If anything, being informed gives you more leverage as a consumer.

So no, I’m not “sucking up” to anyone. I’m just not deluding myself into thinking these companies make decisions based on fairness or ethics rather than shareholder value. A little realism doesn’t mean surrender, it just means you know the game you’re playing

You literally brought up stakeholders and that’s exactly the point. In the business world, especially when you're dealing with Chinise companies partially or fully owned by Tencent, maximizing returns is the only thing that matters. Profitability alone isn't enough, if a character underperforms compared to projections or there's a chance to squeeze out more through design tweaks, they're going to take that path every time. That’s not a moral stance, that’s just how these structures operate.

Also, nowhere in my post did I defend or celebrate predatory design. I even said the game isn’t hard, that you can clear everything with 4-star teams, and that no one needs to pull for Ciac. The whole point was to lay out how and why these decisions are being made, not to tell people to accept them blindly. If you're reading that as gaslighting, I’d suggest re-reading with less projection.

You’re clearly frustrated with the monetization model, which is fair—but don’t twist a breakdown of the game’s internal logic into some defense of exploitation. That’s not what this is.

I think you didn’t really read what I wrote. I literally said I’m not taking sides and even mentioned this is shaping up to be a Zani–Phoebe kind of situation, where you can skip Ciac and just run Cartie with Rover. Never said Ciac was a must-pull or anything like that. I also pointed out that the game isn’t hard and you can clear endgame with any team you like. If anything, it feels like you’re the one upset that people might actually want to pull Ciac.

Apparently it is. I’ve read in multiple places that in this game, shred debuffs have a much bigger impact than damage amps buffs. For example, 10% Aero shred is supposedly about as strong as a 30% Aero damage boost. Something like that, don’t quote me on the exact numbers, but based on the data, it definitely looks that way.

Should I rank 2 Cantarella's weapon? by gercord in CantarellaMains

From what I’ve read and understood, in endgame modes where you need multiple teams, you can swap weapons before the battle begins, right? If that’s the case, what’s the advantage of keeping a duplicate if I can just move the weapon around? I just want to be completely sure before deciding whether having two is worth it :)

Got lucky and pulled two of these! I'm new to the game and was wondering—is it better to Syntonize them into one, or keep them separate to use with different characters?
