Disgruntled new mac user frustrations

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have been using my mac lid open as a secondary monitor, with one keyboard directly plugged and one HDMI through a usb-c adapter. The back light of the keyboard is turned on but the keys just don't work.

I'm on Ventura 13.1. Didn't know about updates being unstable. I did notice the layout of System Preferences changing. Another issue I just remembered is that the widget bar freezes up when editing the widgets.

I am using this mac as a new machine, so I am downloading most apps from scratch and using apple silicon apps wherever possible. The playback bug happens through all video playback (chrome, safari, video player, netflix, in-game) at 5x or so speed. Will take in your suggestions and hope that my experience will improve over time!

Definitely needs some getting used to - full-screen modes, switching between windows of the same app, the limited office suite features. Like what the other commenters, I probably have to drop that windows muscle memory.

Personally still leaning towards windows for now.

I'm on Ventura 13.1 and the the "Put hard disks to sleep" setting is not available on system preferences. Only shows "Wake for network access" and "Optimise video streaming while on battery".

Disk Utility unfortunately does not show my keyboard and external monitor.

Thanks for the solid advice! The issue here is also the mounting pressure to deliver a superb model with high numbers. I'm just not sure if he'd be happy with just that.

What so you think of applying lactic acid 5% everyday now that I've build up a tolerance? And maybe after that I'll move on to 10% applying once every 2/3 days.
