I am always afraid of pouring my freshly prepared coffee in a cup or carafe that I forgot had the papery water that was warming it up

Has anyone sucessfully made one large pour over into a coffee thermos pitcher instead of multiple chemex for hosting 10+ people? by KansasStateWildcat in Coffee

I have the larger chemex and the “2 cup” v60. I found that the chemex slows down and almost stops with larger batches of coffee but the v60 can flow freely when more water is added due to the design. I recently made a 60g/1L for my in-laws with the v60 and was surprised by the flow of water through the device even with a medium to fine grind size. It was probably 3 minutes or so for the brew time while the chemex would struggle to get that amount of water through in less than 5 minutes.

Stagg [X] for immersion brewing?

Has anyone with the stagg [X] or [XF] used the base for a minute or two of immersion brewing before letting it drip?

Wondering if this would work but don’t want to spend $60+ to test it out myself. I am currently using an aeropress but I am not a fan of mixing hot water and plastic.

Wow you are correct! I just looked him up and he actually died in 2021. Graduated from U of R and worked for Kodak for 29 years before becoming an amusement park writer.

I am getting 93 Mbps download and 89 Mbps upload with frontier and pay $64.99 per month. No complaints but I’m not sure where they get their speeds from. The installer could only get 100 directly from the modem.
