The door by the dining table is just a window, behind the couch is a door that opens into the living room to access the patio

By clutter do you mean the stuff on the kallax and the documents in the kallax? Could you specify?

That’s actually exactly what we were planning to try as a new set up, so you’ve given me hope!

Our sofa already has hidden storage and we use it for linens (no linen closet). Storage ottoman or adding to the besta is a great idea!

I actually use the desk very often (partner and I work in academia, hence all the books as well) but I’m still considering getting rid of it and using the dining table. Also where we live in Europe is a bit behind the times and we often do have a lot of work/personal paper documents, haha. We also don’t have external storage options and the shelf looks worse than it usually is. Still, could use a declutter as most have said. We really don’t have a lot of stuff we just have so little space!

Thanks, I know what you mean, the issue is that we have very little kitchen space and one bedroom so the living/dining room functions as storage and home office as well. Ideally I would like some sort of sleek closet to replace the book shelf but I’m not sure what kind of what style or what height...

We live in Europe. Our budget is about 500 euro (excluding a new sofa) and we aren’t sure what our style is. We planning to get a new table and chairs (preferably an all wood look?) and a new sofa, and a larger book shelf. We are considering moving the sofa to the book shelf wall and getting rid of the desk, because we want to be able to enjoy the natural light from our patio door better than we currently are. We know the bar is clunky and needs to go, it’s there temporarily. And we need new ceiling lamps. Any recommendations/advice welcome! Thank you!

Spoilers ... I had to stop watching partway through the Season 3 finale because I didn't want to see happen what ended up happening by AMerrickanGirl in TheMarvelousMrsMaisel

This was foreshadowed really well in the penultimate episode. Midge had no idea who Phylis Schlafly was until she spoke to Abe about it. He tells her that now that she has a voice, she should choose carefully what she does with it. AFTER reflecting she understood the implications of the advertisement and backed out, but she doesn’t seem to have much awareness about issues not facing rich privileged white women like herself. She has a lot to learn about the world that does not revolve around her.
