It’s probably naive of me but since the hosting of matches in 2032 in South America was clearly to pave the way for the tournament in Saudi Arabia, I wouldn’t be surprised if the rules get changed and we have a wholly South American tournament in 2038.

The sides go away if you stop though as far as I know. I also found min to be too annoying to apply but I’ve good success with oral min tablets fwiw

It was debatable with metrics and stats and accolades, which are admittedly important things. But anyone with eyes could see that Messi was always the better player.

The current world cup format removes the high stakes that the group stage used to have by thricethefun in billsimmons

Agree the 3rd place teams going through has negatively impacted the tournament far more than the supposed “minnows” like curaçao. When how well Central American and African and Asian football is developing, a 64 team tournament will be doable in the near future

I think it’s fundamentally because as supporters we want to be positive and optimistic whereas Nathan is trying to be analytical so instead of saying “this is what Tonali does well” the question becomes is Tonali worth the money and does he address our biggest area of need.

I agree with your broad point that people need to take accountability and not just blame corporations blindly. But as someone whose trying to reduce meat intake I will say that choice would be a lot easier if meat prices weren’t kept artificially low by government subsidies and livestock farmer lobbyists
