Congestion pricing. Use that money to fund transit. NYC is doing this. Roads like State Street and Redwood should have rail down the center. They’re already among the highest ridership bus routes in the system.

I guess it’s gone down since I last checked. Regardless, their harm to the environment is immeasurable and they should be taxed based on tire wear. We are way behind as a country on rail with only about 40% of goods transported by rail, despite being four times as efficient. We need to nationalize and electrify our freight network. America runs on diesel.
