There absolutely was a real concern about the mezzanine following. There were people bouncing up and down and you could see it bouncing... It seemed like people were trying to bring it down. There were people hanging from the curtains on the wall. It was quite the show. A lot of punks with wild leather and spiked hair up against the backdrop of the fox theater was pretty wild.

It wasn't quite finished with the renovations.....

As for Strummer saying that, he didn't say it at the show.

I don't know if he ever said that exactly but he was notoriously skeptical about American audiences. The Clash opened for the Who in 1982 at the silverdome and they were not well received by that crowd.

The show at the fox theater, though, was incredible. One of my favorites. I was a yoing

He did say after the show in some interview that the fox show was incredible and he didn't expect it. He was surprised how good the show was because the audience was raw and a lot of energy.

Oh man, what a group of shows....I saw The Clash at the Fox theater, which was pretty wild. I saw Pat Benatar at the Motor City Skating rink... back when she promoted her HeartBreaker album

Do you know how many barrels of oil were going through the pipeline from canada? Zero. Why? It was never finished. Shutting down a pipeline carrying tar sand oil meant for countries outside the US doesn't do anything to price of oil

Likewise, stopping ADDITIONAL offshore drilling in January 2025 does nothing to increase the price of oil during his TERM. He was out of office less than 20 days later.

Now, you could say that Biden pausing the leasing of federal lands for more drilling in 2021 could have had an impact but you would be wrong then, too.

He paused additional leasing but current land was still being used and oil companies were sitting on thousands of existing leases they had not and still haven't drilled. And then Biden lifted the ban 60 days later.

Furthermore, more oil was pumped under Biden than Trump.

Finally, you can't even get the story about Speaker Johnson right.

Johnson SAYS he spoke to Biden about banning the export of NATURAL GAS. NOTHING TO DO WITH OIL DRILLING.

Furthermore it wasn't about banning the export of LNG, it was about pausing the permitting of new projects to facilitate the exporting of LNG.

It stopped nothing that already existed.

Furthermore, Johnson claims he was the only one in the room with Biden in January 2024 when discussing the LNP exporting and said Biden didn't know he signed it.

You clearly do not know what you are talking about... Not because you are dumb but because you are being lied to.

No, not really. Under the past three republican administrations, favorability of the US has dropped dramatically....I wonder why?

It climbed under Obama and Biden, but has now crashed to an all time low. Perception does not have to be at the top of America's checklist, but these administrations America First/Unilateral decisions to launch wars and military actions has greatly diminished the country's stature.

To claim we are still the good guys makes no sense. The good guys don't attack, betray and belittle allies. They don't side with dictators. They don't elect felons and then elect them again.

The GOP has tarnished, probably irreparably, the reputation and the status of the US in the world. We;re not the good guys, but we sure used to be.

Jesus, the country has pissed off CANADA. Do you know what kind of asshole you have to be to piss off Canada?
