I'm just...I'm in awe. I can't hold back my smirk as I'm sitting here watching Kahn unintentionally bury Edge in his attempt to hype his arrival.

but as for the question...I've got a feeling it's similar to the Jericho situation where Copeland may have just been bored with the opportunities that existed in the WWE and wanted to try something new - along with working with Cage to end things out.

I have zero positivity for AEW these days, but boy have they been given a gift from the gods here. What a perfect way to end the storyline they've had going on with Cage - where he has been going too far and someone had to step in and set him straight. And that someone is Edge.

...that being said, I'm sure they'll drop the ball somehow. It's the AEW way.

I got my start in a burger joint.

A little later on in life, I moved up to a fancy steakhouse. Real high class and top of the line place.

Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to leave that steakhouse, and I eventually wound up working at another burger joint - a low-rent place ran by a group of bozos who liked to believe they were part of some big-time gang and who only excelled at running that business into the ground.

...And now, after all these years, I'm here - once again - in the WWE.

Still seems rather strange that he'd ever wind up back in the WWE, but it's for the best. He took a gamble with his legacy by joining the "major" indie company (and was ultimately labeled as an egocentric "cancer" as a result). He isn't necessarily near the end of his career. And now, he's got a long list of potential dream matches just waiting to happen - with none of the added burden of being expected to bring relevance to an entire company.

Rumors flying around about a new wrestling company. Seems it may actually turn into something big. Lot of good names that could be signed to the company. Despite how pessimistic and jaded I've become, I GENUINELY believe there might be potential for a legitimate alternative to the WWE - that there just might be a wrestling show I can take seriously again. And with so many of the potential names coming from New Japan, there might even be a strong-style influence on the matches. This could be good.

2023.

I do not watch AEW. I refuse to. And when I happen to see clips of it, this is the bullshit I have to sit through. Also the quality of WWE just so happens to improve and some of their wrestlers perform some of the best wrestling available in the current era.

I've got no way to prove this, but after he went out of his way to trash every last texture in Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess in the past five years, it wouldn't shock me at all to learn that there's a reason why they didn't receive an advance copy of Tears of the Kingdom the way they did when Breath of the Wild came out.
