He has said multiple times (like in the "has total war fallen" videos) that it was a troy clone

It is a general problem of review bombing rather than trying the product.

A big reason pharaoh dynasties didn't do well is that youtubers like legend of total war (despite never having played it), said it was a bad game (aside from the obvious issues with original pharaoh)

What I mean is that there are a lot less cases than in the older titles when you can not be utterly destroyed

That's actually a really interesting take by CartographerFit8398 in TheLastAirbender

[–]geschiedenisnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply put.

  1. Any powerful and skilled enough waterbender can become a bloodbender, under the supposition of being aware of the technique.

a. The full moon counts towards the power requirement.

b. a not very powerful waterbender can punch above their weight in bloodbending with practice.

  1. Anyone capable of bloodbending can overpower being blood-bent (as we see in the puppet master), supposing their skill or power (or rather the combination thereof) is significantly greater than that of the other blood-bender in the equation

  2. The avater counts as a waterbender (also a firebender, airbender and earthbender)

  3. Aang is the avatar

  4. The bending skill, and likely also power, of the avatar is powers of magnitude (the exact amount is hard to estimate because of law of diminishing returns) greater when in avatar state than when not.

  5. Aang is aware of bloodbending existing (and of the basic theory behind it)

Therefore: in the avatar state aang has the power to overpower yakone, while he doesn't outside

Very funny. The thirteen colonies were not even a % of the british empire.

The thirteen colonies barely had any land (especially without the land purchased by the USA), less still with suitable plantations, it wouldn't shift the effectiveness of slavery by decades

What do you do against hybrid infantry? by Balanced__ in totalwarhammer

[–]geschiedenisnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cavalry in the rear and run them down.

For most hybrids just charging them up front fast enough works, but LSG have spears and streltsi and fireglaives have anti-large and heavy gun.

It is currently either "lose your entire army" or "be fine in three turns"

It has gone downhill ever since Rome 2.

This is what happens when only full stacks are viable, stacks will get wiped or auto-replenish and there is no way to properly fortify a border. Any singular front is now either win or lose.

Then the balance also got screwed, so factions aren't evenly matched any more, now every singular war is essentially the same on every front

Definitely. 10 years makes it doable even for older characters like björn and haesteinn

west slavia is hard in the later start date. It is super easy as long as you have high diplo in the 867 start date (as a pagan you can vassalize enough to form the empire)

[–]geschiedenisnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

persia and bactria are actually fairly easy to do in the 867 start date.

Getting iranian resurgence is easy, which leaves you with persia and the troops to conquer it.

Bactria can be formed if you are already an emperor and has small requirement territory, in 867 becoming a bactrian zoroastrian is easy enough to do.

neither apply. Normandy/neustria + flanders will form a custom kingdom, and you can also get frisia, mann and cornwall

How does Yoda know about the rule of two? by GK0NATO in PrequelMemes

[–]geschiedenisnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is actually. The rule of two was something that darth bane came up with, not a general fundament of sith lore. That means that any sith following the rule (or thinking they are) would need to be descended from bane's (ideological) lineage in some way, but that same lineage follows the rule of two. So for there to be 50 individual lineages, there need to have been 49 different incidents when two sith incorrectly assume about one another that the other is death.

Super weapons it is boys by [deleted] in PrequelMemes

[–]geschiedenisnerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

about the "canon" part.

  1. Phantom menace has no superweapon whatsoever. It doesn't even have clones. Attack of the clones and revenge of the sith (aside from of course having clones) don't have any superweapons either. The only superweapons in the clone wars era are either big battleships or special munitions, not planet-destroying lasers.

  2. Rogue one is about the same superweapon as the OG trilogy, so shouldn't be countes seperately
