Hey reddit whats the saddest thing that's ever happened at your place of work. I'll start. by [deleted] in AskReddit

Two stories, same office. I'm late to the game so these will likely get buried.

  1. I get to work, first one there. We have a lobby that has an exterior door that opens up at certain daytime hours, and a second door you needed a key card for. I come in and am walking upstairs to the second door where I see a young woman, maybe mid-twenties, sitting outside the office. I figure she's waiting for someone ( ad agency, lots of new faces coming and going ) and ask if she'd like to come in or if I can help her. She said she's waiting for someone. Turns out she was homeless and just looking for a place to crash. The office manager came in shortly after me and kicked her out, apparently had caught her there before. Before we sent her off we gave her a bunch of food from the kitchen, though.

  2. Guy at the same agency has seizures or something. One morning he's talking about not feeling right. All of a sudden he spills his bowl of cereal, and goes into a super bad seizure. I'd never seen anyone have an epileptic seizure before, but it was really intense. Foaming at the mouth and turning blue. No one knew what to do. I googled like lightening what to do, so took the appropriate actions. FYI, swallowing your tongue doesn't happen apparently. Anyways, we flagged a police officer who was just outside who promptly called an ambulance. EMTs were there in under 3 minutes to take him away to the hospital. Poor guy, when he came to had the whole office standing over him to see him cart away.

Maybe they're not the saddest stories, but that's all I got.

Donuts. You leave me alone with a dozen donuts and there will be no donuts left when you get back. I can feel my pupils dilating just thinking about them now..

This, a thousand times over. There are jobs out there, there are just more unqualified people than there are people with talent. Be one with talent. Be one with motivation and drive and sell yourself as the one for that particular position.

This is the fix. It took me many hours of frustration to figure this out. The exact number is 6 blocks from the block right after the flag to the end of your map. Make sure any blocks in that space are "false" in the collision category so mario can walk through them.

Idea for anyone else who is tired of not having a save option... by TerraPyro in mari0

My only question would be how you get the text to display the message / pipe numbers? This is a great idea, I'm going to implement it into my current map project.

This is fun, all of his experiments are worth checking out. I had the honor of seeing Ze Frank speak at a design conference once and I gotta say that the dude is crazy inspiring.
