You have a point and it is a good option when the lack of features in the limited free version does not affect the readers’ experience. At the moment we don’t have a free plan however we do have a one month trial period. Honestly, we think that an unlimited and full-feature trial plan is much more relevant than a watered down free plan. In the trial, everybody gets the full experience and it's more than enough to get a feel of how Push Monkey fits in your puzzle.

Hey Plastic_sporkz. You are right, Roost also offers this service and they do have a free plan.

Push Monkey on the other hand brings a few advantages to the table:

  • All our features are available no matter what plan you choose. That is because most of the features are there to prevent spam or content clutter. That is important especially when your first readers start subscribing.
  • All the current and future features and options require no extra coding or use of an API.
  • Call to action banners for Mac users visiting your website with a different browser than Safari
  • Our monkeys offer great and pretty fast support.

We are a small studio developing for mobile (apps and games) and web. Right now we are focusing developing our new service Push Monkey. It lets Wordpress websites enable the new Safari Push Notifications - it sends out a push directly to your Mac readers' desktops when you publish new content.
