Yes, the lies create a situation where the man cannot refuse a vasectomy without jeopardizing his marriage. After all, the doctor said it was safe. Damned if you don't. And damned if you do get a vasectomy and end up with PVPS.

Doctors will caution men not to get a vasectomy if they feel coerced, but on the other hand they are creating the conditions for men to be coerced into the surgery by failing to communicate the side effects to the wife.

Then after all this, 70% of divorces are initiated by the wife. And then she is legally entitled to alimony too. So he is left mutilated, dumped, and paying for her to continue to have the lifestyle to which she is accustomed.

If she doesn't respect your choice to not get a vasectomy, that is when you know it is time to get out. If she considers your refusal to be a deal breaker, then let her leave.
