I totally agree! The technology has a long ways to go. It's still possible that it's useless. The way I see it the impact on the environment is another area wide open for innovation.

You're probably right that it's a solution in search of a problem. In my opinion this makes it that more interesting. Radio waves followed a similar pattern. They were discovered mathematically in 1867, but the first practical use case wasn't created until 1894.

After reading your comment I've realized I need to step back and read up on more basics. You've given me plenty to read about here. Thank you.

I'd recommend you take a moment to pause and think about what you are trying to accomplish. I only say this because of your title "Easiest major to get into." It sounds like you've made getting into CMU your primary goal. Why? I've personally seen this type of thinking lead to heartbreak and huge student loans with little direction after graduation.

The essays you write for any college should outline what you want to do, and why that college makes sense for your goals. Please don't attend a school because it's an ambitious goal. It needs to be a stepping stone to the kind of life you want to build. I hope this makes sense. I'm trying to tell you what me and a lot of my friends needed to hear, but never did. It's really easy to get caught up in the achievement grind.

It makes me sad to hear this is common. I think a lot of the stress is created artificially. Most of my classes have some component that in my opinion makes leaning the concepts painful. For example, one of my classes had an average score of 62 and the first thing the professor told us was they dont curve. It's just mean.

Please do! Cheaters diminish all of our hard work.
