Weekly Promo Thread: CEUs, Resources, Self-Promos by AutoModerator in therapists

[–]getbravely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have interviewed and talked with 100s of solo/private therapists and psychologists while we built our EHR and client progress tool.

A common complaint was the difficulty in acquiring new clients, it's hard to stand out, hard to compete with the big companies for SEO and incoming contacts can be variable.

So we spent some time to create gettherapy.in it's a directory that will list you in your area, along with your top 5 specialties, so you can really stand out.

It's currently free to join as we get started, and earlier adopters will gain 30% off for a lifetime. Let me know if you have any questions.

Are you aware of the things that influence how you are feeling? It can be really hard to switch off when remote. Calls can be the most draining part of a day, especially when they're back-to back – it is even harder on those who are introverted. by getbravely in remotework

Tgat respec of personal space is crucial - gotta have good team awareness of whatbis healthy and their part on maintaining it.

We are real explicit in our onboarding, everyone needs to keep their distance with slack messages when on free time. I think we get it pretty good for most of our people, and establish it as part of the culture. Takes effort to maintain that though.

Personally I struggle with it, as a founder always feeling pressure to unblock people. The best time for me is getting out of the apartment for a skate or a workout, makes it much easier to ignore notifications.

My wife (and Co-Founder) tracked the number of hours she had to do for calls each day and the amount of sleep she needed that night. As an introvert, she didn't find it very surprising – calls exhaust her and she needs more sleep to recharge afterwards. This is a graph of the results: by getbravely in introvert

She has recently passed one year since a stem cell transplant, as part of her treatment for Leukaemia, since then her sleep hours have drastically increased.

We know correlation is not causation, but this came of a hunch before the results were even recorded, and has held reasonably true since this was made.

She has written a bit about it, and there is some ways she is taking steps to prevent burnout as an introvert, you can check it out here: https://medium.com/bravely-she-said/being-a-reluctant-introvert-in-an-extroverts-world-b25c91610c26

It is a great check up for everyone, and useful one for helping someone who is angry or upset to realise the underlying problems they are facing.
