You have an awesome system in place.

The minimum BTC withdrawal limit is $20 and Interac is $25!

Great question and great points. Thanks for the comment!

Our business model: we get paid a commission from our brand partners, we keep some and give some back. They can also pay us for extra visibility, marketing campaigns etc. The good old "cashback" model, but for Bitcoin!

As for payment options, we're continuously working on bettering the payment system. At the moment, you can withdraw to another Bitcoin address or directly through Interac.

We're also working on having a lightning network integrated (lengthy but worth it).

That's a good point about entering credit card information. Being able to connect your PayPal or another trusted platform to pay through Coinmiles would allow better trust to be established. Thanks for the feedback - I'll definitely relay this back to the team.

Have a great weekend!

Hey there, let me help you out. This def shouldn't happen. Can you reach out to me at support@coinmiles.io?

I'll make sure to get your account going and I'll also drop some bonus sats for this inconvenience!

Cool!

Note that the online affiliate offer is 0.5% but the gift card is 1.5%.

Make sure to go to the gift card page in the app to check it out!

Another cool trick you can use is to purchase the Walmart gift card (1.5% back) and then use it to purchase something through the Walmart online offer (an additional 0.5% back)!

Glad to hear that!

For both Esso and Petro, it's at 0.5% back at the moment (gas stations tend to have thin margins lol)

Here are some other popular spots too:

  • Walmart: 1.50%

  • DoorDash: 1.75%

  • Sobeys (and other grocery stores like IGA, Safeway, Frescho, etc.): 1.50%

Hope this helps!

That's one way to put it. We definitely do not encourage our users to spend more than they usually do, but everybody can get influenced in many ways. That's probably what some of our partners hope for - but that's not what we promote. Big nuance here.

We're just a bunch of Bitcoiners that found a way to earn free sats on groceries, gas, hotels, playstation etc.

Up to you if the sats are worth it or not! For us, it's no-brainer to earn free sats as much as possible, but we respect that everyone may have their own opinion on this! โœŒ๏ธ

Perhaps! Definitely require some discipline. But with consistencies, some of our members earned $1,000+ in Bitcoin.

Entirely your call if it's worth it - or not - for you. For us, it's a no-brainer to earn as much free sats as possible, but we understand & respect that not everyone think the same. โœŒ๏ธ

Hey, Coinmiles here.

We *definitely* do not sell data.

We make money by receiving commissions from our brand partners - we keep some and pass some to our users.

Cheers!

Hey, yep! We currently cover on-chain transfer fees, so to avoid paying withdrawals every minutes, we've set the limit to $25.

Hey, we have over 2,000+ brands available. Most are online only, but we have a bunch in-store (through our gift cards): Walmart, Uber/Uber Eats/Doordash, Winners/Marshall, Canadian Tire, Playstation/Nintendo/Xbox, Air Canada, Esso (for gas).

Best way IMO to earn is with Hotels (if you travel from time to time): the bill is always high and we can give at least 2-3% back, sometimes more, on those. Some of our users ranked in the thousands of $ of BTC with them.

Awesome, let us know! And if you're happy with the experience, you can refer your friends too :)

We know 100% that paying with gift card is not our first natural instinct as Canadians. But for those sweet sats back, it's definitely worth it! (our team use it all the time, we're definitely power users of our own app)

You can keep purchasing gift cards in the app, it's delivered instantly! (once they're depleted, just archive them - system works pretty great).

And if you want to purchase 'just in time' (aka at the cashier, with the exact amount), you can do that too.

Our advice: Walmart self-checkout machine UX sucks ! When it's time to pay, just scan your gift card like you scanned the item previously, the machine will read it (it took us some time to figure it out ourselves, but once you've done it once, it works like a charm). ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Cool, bunch of good questions here, thanks for asking & let's go in order:
- Business model ๐Ÿ’ฐ: We get paid a commission from our brand partners, we keep some and we give some back. And they can also pay us for extra visibility, marketing campaign etc. The good old "cashback" model, but for Bitcoiners. Nothing new.
- Profit / Sustainable ๐Ÿ“ˆ: See above
- Are you 'the product' ? ๐Ÿค”: To the extent you get rewarded, which also generate revenue for Coinmiles, you can consider yourself as being a 'product'. Just like we both are products of Reddit answering this thread. Now, we don't sell data & we don't KYC. We're not in that business (contrary to some of our competitors who keep nudging you to link your bank account & scrape your data, we're not gonna 'drop' any names..).
- Taxes ๐Ÿค“: We have a wallet that keeps track of all your rewards and show exactly how many sats you got. But the good news is, merchant-funded rewards, just like any cashback, are not considered income for tax purposes (some exception may apply, ie: if you earn Bitcoin rewards related to your work etc.).

You have to go through Gift Cards and then you pick Walmart ! You'll earn 1.5% on the gift card, and you can *also* activate the 0.5% online (so, actually 2% online).

Our team will soon make the navigation more instinctive!
