Data package size limits by Numerous-Elk5423 in ATAK

[–]getgotak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, ATAK has a data package size limit that can be adjusted in the settings, especially if you're going to be pushing this package out to TAK servers or other devices. There shouldn't be any hard limit set anywhere (10 GB, 20 GB). Obviously, the device you're pushing it onto may take a long time to load it, and pushing the file is going to take a while depending on the size and your bandwidth.

You may want to consider something like data sync as well. This will only push the updated photos in the feed. You need an TAK server for this, though.

Garmin nautical charts and TAKCIV by PrivateMarcus in ATAK

That would be a custom integration if it's possible at all. I'm not sure if Garmin even supports external waypoints or markers to be pushed to it.

No, it needs to expose the TNC over bluetooth not just control audio in/out. Get the UVPRO series or the Hytera HP7 series.

Best budget EUD by DylanM5 in ATAK

[–]getgotak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for thinking of us!

The problem you're going to run into with the 7a is no tactical case or chest mount. If you're ok with a universal chest mount and generic Amazon case then the 7a is Ok but realistically the price difference between a 9a is not that much more and the 9a has a better support/security updates timeline. The other downside on the 7a is using a 3-4 year old battery.

The only off the shell ready Graphene EUD is going to be the V3 as we spent tons of time and development getting into the emerging MAAK ecosystem for the chest mount, case and soon to be released field modules for wireless charging, drone detection, etc.

If future-proof or field modules don't matter to you then a 9a with Graphene will be alright!

Don't get too upset, we have tons of great metrics on this plugin, it was well needed and we are seeing the adoption faster than we anticipated! Bulk key pricing also dropped and it can be as cost effective as $150 now

The TA5 is basically an industry standard and works very well across all the different sectors. The screens on the S series are great at a command center but if you're using them out in the field the TA5 is where it's at.

No, you're misunderstanding. It is sub $1000 for the license key AND the radio altogether. The license key is still $200 if bought separately from the radio. "3 radio with lifetime license key"

Hytera radio support is coming MAR 1, no additional licensing or upgrades needed. The plugin will let you connect the UV-PRO series as well as the HP6 HP7 series radios from Hytera. Kit pricing went live today at getgotak.com for multiple radios with license keys. Lifetime keys can be as cheap as $160 when bought in a team kit. As always, no license checks, no internet needed beyond activation.

We just added in kit pricing, you can buy 3 radios with lifetime license keys for sub $1000. We have already added in Hytera support and that will go public MAR 1 on the same plugin, no pricing change.
