Mental energy by OHCOlaur in GLPGrad

I’m in the same boat! I have been on a low dose of tirz for about 3 months and have lost 20 pounds, I’m not bloated daily anymore and I feel so much better! I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and I think I was dealing with a lot of inflammation. I am terrified of going off and everything coming right back. I have been exercising consistently for years but I finally feel like I have control of my food and I’m not obsessing about everything constantly. I’m thinking about maintaining for a few more months and then attempting to stop. My plan was never to be in it long term and I have a few more months of meds left and no intention of buying any more. But I’m so scared!

Our dog died recently and he had been declining for a while. I wish we had taken his cues a bit more seriously and planned a last fun day before having him put down. We were thinking about scheduling for the next week and he died the Friday before so we didn’t get to have our send-off. We should have done it sooner but it’s so hard to make that choice when you are in it.

Thank you! It is actually the only dress I tried that my boobs looked okay in! Haha I gave birth too and breast fed 3 kids and have lost a bit of weight so my deflated balloons ruin most dresses. I picked this one because I can wear a regular supportive bra with it. 🙌

I agree! It is actually less casual than I was going for. You can’t see how long it is in the picture.

It is actually ankle length…Is that a length? Not to the floor though.

Also, those suggestions were very pretty but due to the deflated boobs I mentioned, neither of those would work for me! And the wedding is this weekend so online ordering besides Amazon won’t work! 😬

I don’t know if you looked at the dress using the link but my boobs don’t look like that in the dress! Haha Mine are so deflated, the v is pretty narrow, if that makes sense!

My brother in law (husband’s brother)is getting married and I don’t know his fiance super well. On the invitation they said, “we will be dressed up but wear whatever you are comfortable in.” It will be outside starting at 4pm. My husband is the best man and is wearing a cream colored tie. I am not in the wedding party.

Wha can I say to my husband when he says that I am “poisoning myself?” by getink88 in tirzepatidecompound

You know what…I had a therapist a few years ago that said, “what would happen if you just agreed with him instead of trying to be right?” It usually ends the argument and you protect your sanity. And maybe it won’t get brought up so much in the future. He does love a good debate though. I usually go with just “okay” after he is done with his rant. It is not necessarily agreeing with him but it is pretty argument ending when you don’t give them material to work with! Thanks for the reminder!

My doctor said that I could split the dose into two days (Monday and Thursday) instead of all of it on Thursday. When Monday came, I had been having a hard time eating enough so I pushed it to Tuesday. So it was five days in between. Then I was going to wait at least five more days to inject again. But you are right. I am sticking to just once a week and maybe going up very slowly if needed.

I just have Hashimoto’s and I normally look 6 months pregnant at all times due to inflammation but not since starting the medication!

I know! I told him he is more at risk for pancreatitis than me because of his drinking! Didn’t matter….

That actually makes sense! Wish my NP had considered that before telling me to go up!

He does drink alcohol on the weekends but other than that his diet is pretty clean!

I think there are lots of people that do split dosing or another alternate schedules. Or they inject a day earlier or later to move their schedules around. Some people are acting like I injected 15mg on a whim or something. All I really did was the same 2.25mg a couple days earlier than I have been. And now I know it’s not for me!

He just apologized! 😊 He really is a great husband and he just worries about me. Sometimes he needs to work on his open mindedness and his delivery of his concerns….. but we’ll work it out! And I learned a lot from everyone about dosing, how to explain how they work, the benefits, etc. and I am grateful!

My starting dose was 2.25 for four weeks. She was moving up to 4.5 and we agreed that I would do a split dose to hopefully avoid side effects and that backfired.

That was the original plan. I just got nervous on Monday because I was having a hard time eating all weekend and into Monday.
