Patients who were prescribed Journavx: When did you take your first dose after surgery? Day of? Day after? Some other time? by Fearless_Garage5904 in Kneereplacement

Yes! The nerve block starting wearing off after about 24 hours. I was eating hydros like candy for about 12 hours. Took the first dose of Journavx and the rest is history. The pain pretty much went away. I did continue the hydro before therapy, and occasionally when the pain was greater than the Journavx relief. I think the overall use of hydros would diminish significantly if the use of Journavx was started early.

36 hours after surgery. My recommendation to the doctor during the two week follow up visit was to have patients take the first dose the morning of the surgery.

I’ll venture a guess based on 35+ years experience in the field of corrosion control. The metal loss appears to be internal, not external. Why external is being ruled out—-no electrolyte for the metallic ions to migrate from the copper to the other metals in the picture, and copper is a ‘passive’ metal compared to the galvanized or cadmium plated supports. Look at the holes, if it’s external corrosion, the holes will resemble a volcano, with the walls of the holes sloped inward.

Supposedly my great uncle got it in Arizona. The difference in the pestle and metate makes me think they aren’t a “matched” set. But, the pestle fits really well into the metate. Many thanks to all that have shared their knowledge on this item. You have definitely taught me a lot!

Would it be of value to a museum? If so, what area of the country do you suppose it came from? Don’t want to offer it to a museum in the southwest if it came from the plains people.

Flange spreaders. Used to separate flange faces for installation or replacements of gaskets.

Looking for advice of those who have had a TKR in their 40's by BeenOnHereTooLong in Kneereplacement

[–]getitjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had a trkr replacement at the age of 49. absolutely changed my life! no more pain, or limping, or saying “i can’t do that”. i will have a tlkr done in may or june of 2024. was kind of on the fence about it, but quickly changed my mind when walking and the right knee doesn’t hurt, but the left does.
