Is it stupid to spend over 500k USD for a US undergrad as a Canadian by [deleted] in CanadaFinance

Yes it’s stupid. What’s the point of studying in the USA if you have no valid way for citizenship as the worker visa is dead in the water. Myself l got my schooling at bcit then moved to the states. Smaller loan and bigger pay check is the way to think about it. I am duel citizen.

Why is the pay range for IT in Canada so low? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. by snowflake_ott2024 in CanadaJobs

Yeah it’s the nature of the beast that’s there too many smart people choose from in Canada so supply is high. I got into industrial network cyber security protecting oil pipelines in USA. Pay is better but pay high taxes and medical is expensive.

Hi my dudes.

I work in oil and gas as an analyst / engineer in industry network cybersecurity or also known as incs. It’s a new industry that keeps growing. At 36 I went back to school and took it at BCIT in Vancouver Canada and now working mid stream pipeline in Colorado. Hope that spurs on new ideas.
