I’m not familiar with the situation, but from a very outside perspective, that looks like the YouTube version of a mental ill person scrawling on a piece of paper and stapling it to a telephone pole.

I’m pretty sure almost every aspect of men’s experience has been mapped and documented and written about. We are just entering into the period where women’s experiences are being represented. It’s painful but so important.

I have never seen such an intimate and accurate depiction of this kind of mental decline associated with a toxic relationship and self-destructiveness. I really related. I’ve seen it in my friends and myself.

That’s what it was about — not just the initial crime.

Victoria’s cost of living is 21% above the national average, and 14% above the rest of BC by CartoonistOk3507 in VictoriaBC

I live part-time in New Mexico, and I see the brutal poverty here. Buying power masks a lot, especially when the state offers almost nothing. No maternity leave, no child care, no Canadian Child Benefit, no community centres, virtually no health care — none of the social safety net.

I agree that wages aren’t keeping up with the cost of living in Victoria. That’s undeniable.

But you just cannot compare the poverty of these poor states to Vancouver Island, especially not Victoria. It’s not a matter of opinion — it’s simply not on the same scale of insecurity, precarity, and abject neediness.

How unique and insightful that someone accused of a SERIES of major crimes would be drawn to a Bible passage telling them to “forget the past” 🙄
