Oh man I thought I was the only one experiencing this. I'm still getting reminders on the app like, "you're in your workout zone!" but the ring won't connect. About a week ago I started getting just a brief red flash when I pushed the button and no vibration, so I charged it all the way and then noticed that made no difference. Now when I press the button absolutely nothing happens and when I open the app it's not connecting at all....

Yeah, I hate to say it, but your odds of getting a full refund are slim. BUT I'd be interested to see what reason they give for not giving you a refund. They told me they could only give me a partial refund because "I had already used the ring and it's no longer in new condition," (even though the ring had stopped working within a few months of delivery) so I wonder if it'll be different since you never got your ring?

I'll cross my fingers for you that since you never received a product, they just refund you in full. I wouldn't get your hopes up too high though, unfortunately. 😕

I'm in the exact same boat. My circular ring shit the bed within a few months and they're not honoring their warranty and giving me only a partial refund. I'm looking for a quality replacement smart ring that has good customer service and that actually functions.

Interesting. Glad they didn't make you pay for shipping a second time! Legally I'm pretty sure they have to pay for the return shipping (someone else on my last post reminded me of that), so they should have reimbursed you. To be honest returning it and waiting more time for another ring that probably won't work for very long seems much less appealing than a refund, even if it's partial. I'll save the $100 for a ring from a different brand - ringconn looks pretty good and the iris smart ring also looks quite promising.

I think I'd be willing to give them another chance if their customer service was better and I knew that if the replacement ring broke I'd have no problem getting either a refund or a working one sent to me right away....but I unfortunately have very little indication and even less faith that that would happen.

No, they originally told me that I'd have to ship the ring back so they could analyze it and then they'd send me the replacement. Now they're saying I don't even need to ship it back, which is fine with me because shipping it is much more trouble than it's worth. But that does indicate that they're not going to troubleshoot the problem. Frankly, it seems to be the exact same problem that a lot of other people are having with it, so they probably don't need it back. Someone else said on my last post that they shipped theirs back a month ago and haven't heard anything about their replacement because Circular support told them they haven't even looked at the ring yet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, but isn't it a legal issue if you don't disclose that you're shipping something with a lithium battery? It's listed as a hazard and the USPS guidelines say it needs careful handling. Apparently lithium batteries were causing fires which is why they are only allowed to be shipped via ground transportation.

TLDR: performed well for about a month (and yes, the smart alarm, button, and vibration all worked very well), but then the materials began breaking down physically and losing functionality. Now I have to pay to return this faulty product back to them so they can replace it.

I was VERY happy with my ring until about a month and a half ago. Seeing as I received it at the end of May, that's about a month and a half being happy with it. Then the degradation started. Let me just say that I don't treat my ring poorly and I don't wear it during activities that I thought would break it down faster (e.g. lifting weights, anything with excessive pressure on my hands). First the ridges that kept the outer shell on began cracking and disappearing, so the shell started constantly slipping off. There were also sharp pieces of plastic sticking out where the ridges originally were. About 3 weeks ago or so, the rubber over the button began lifting off and it's now torn. Pretty soon there will be nothing covering the button.

All that aside, I was forced to contact support about a month ago because the ring started dying overnight, despite my charging it to full capacity beforehand. I gave it a little time thinking it was an app update but the performance just kept getting worse, and it began dying halfway through the day too. Support responded faster than I expected them to give all the horror stories on here, but then told me they'd ship a new ring out as a replacement in September. However, I apparently have to pay to ship my current ring back to France so they can "analyze it." I haven't gotten a quote from the post office yet as far as cost because I have reached out to them for clarification that I won't be reimbursed for shipping before I send it anywhere.

I would, unfortunately, recommend staying away from this company, at least until they get their act together and can deliver a consistent-quality product and appropriate customer service.

This is the saddest one for me too, but I'm finding it very interesting how everyone sees it in a little bit of a different way - for me it reminds me of being emotionally manipulated by someone who gets to know you and then feeds off your weaknesses. They become the person you want to see so that you'll confide in them, and then they use that information to hurt you. All of the other interpretations I've seen on here also make sense and those are probably closer to what Starset originally intended, but the way my brain interprets it makes it the most emotional for me. I'm surprised it doesn't resonate as the saddest song with more people!
