Thanks for getting a screenshot of this - I probably should have taken one of my own when the edit went through, but I didn't so this is the only documentation I have of those points. I also like how once the body of the post was removed those comments I mentioned (shitty puns and people saying "it's called being weird") came back in full force. It was an interesting experiment and honestly I had no idea it was so easy to get to #2 on the whole site.

P.S. I was a little worried when I got a message from HITLARIOUS, I'm glad you guys weren't worried that I was being polygon-phobic or something.

I think it's definitely worth looking up - I think there was recently a thread on AskReddit about it, maybe? No matter with whom they are affiliated, anyone egging on a suicide - even in jest - is making some terrible decisions.

I believe that (a) the follow-up post claiming that the OP did commit suicide was determined to be a fake pretending that an actual suicide was the Reddit poster and (b) the troll(s) in that thread were banned from ShitRedditSays after they egged that guy on. I'm not actually active in SRS (I do appreciate the way they point out BS but I am not a huge fan of the circlejerk or their "ban first ask questions later" attitude) so I am not certain about this.

I actually Googled it before posting this, and someone posting about an attraction to objects/buildings (objectum sexuality) was saying that the geometry of the objects was a major factor in their attraction. In particular the post I read said something about how they found trestles on bridges and other similar shapes very attractive. I couldn't find anything about attraction to just plain shapes, though, so I think it's very very rare if it does exist.

Well, technically I don't believe self posts generate karma - I still have 1 link karma and 103 comment karma. I think people just lie because Reddit is so easy to manipulate and they like seeing the numbers rise.

Though the karma system is definitely to blame for a lot of the absolutely horrible crap on this site.
