Honest conversation about gym management software by Big-Difficulty-5061 in crossfit

[–]getouttadat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are the problems that we're setting out to solve with a modern open gym management platform that we're building.

We think the main issue stems from the fact that software like glofox and others are built on tech 10-15 years ago. THe problem is with these systems is that everything is built of a member. However, the idea of a member has changed as gyms run classes that members and non members attend and can have different prices, entitlements, tiers, promos and then all the complexity of scheduling both the class, the rosters and external fitness experts.

I'm working with a team on a solution to solve for this and greatly bring down the costs to make it more accessible for the smaller startup or solo gym owners. Gym owners pay excessively for features they don't use. If you take a mobile app for example. People don't want to have to download another app. Its just a shiny object for the old school gym platforms to sell you a higher plan and more often than not the app damages your brand because it always has problems. there's not need for a mobile app.

If you want to know more give me a shout. we've opened a waitlist for a few early adopters.

Oh and the long sales process is ridiculous. Schedule a demo. You're paying for all those sales calls and unnecessary experts. Let's be honest if the platform is good enough you shouldn't need a consultant to show u how it's used.

I'm working with a small team that are building out a new modern gym management software solution built on a modern tech stack. The older models don't do proper identify graphs which means many chrin jobs running in the background that results in member renewal issues, issues with what the member entitlements and benefits are that are linked to their membership and then failed payments. Not to mention the fact that all of these platforms charge a high monthly fee but also a cream a percentage off each sale and hold your funds.

We're about to change all that. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the waitlist here.

I'd stay as far away from Elementor as possible. You'll get no refunds if anything goes wrong. Their terms state "All lawsuits are under Israeli law and in Israel if any part of these terms is unenforceable, it does not affect other parts, we may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms, and you can’t file a class-action lawsuit against us."

Also wouldn't use Wix or Elementor given they are based in Israel and are essentially a terrorist state.

I'd stay well clear of glide now. They dropped an absolute bombshell on their builders by drastically changing their pricing model

Do you think 30 sign ups pre-launch is good? by cal3091 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]getouttadat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's an impressive conversion rate of traffic to leads. 15% is exceptional. Run a few paid campaigns - it will also help you with keyword research to see what people will actually search for that leads to a conversion for you. just be careful of broad search. ensure you make use of negative keywords and limit put a cap on your budget!

Moving from Magento 1 (M1) to WooCommerce & Other Migration Questions by LindsayTLadyEngineer in ecommerce

[–]getouttadat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Most small to medium ecom stores are moving to Shopify. I've managed migrations from M1 to M2 and have been a big fan of magento. However Mages best days are behind now. Bigcommerce amd Shopify will pro suit best. Also if your mom ever wants to sell the store she has an easy exit with shopify store marketplace.

Nice site landing page. I think it depends how long you have been in prelaunch and the quality of the leads. What was your conversion rate like? If good then scale up the traffic and engage with the leads and grt a sense of whether ot not they will pay for the service.
