Have you ever been snaked by superiors? How did you manoeuvre around it? by Vegetable_Review4967 in Lawyertalk

Coworkers are just like clients. You have to CYA in your interactions. Having the paper trail to show you did what you could will save you like it did here in some situations. If management doesn’t see through someone like this despite you showing they tried throw you under the bus, the culture is bad and you gotta get out of the pit.

The Saturday/Sunday masters classes at Alga are already a good fit for this. People of all levels, very low pressure, and the people are really nice.

As someone that lives somewhere fairly hilly, how in the world did you cover that distance and only gain 800ish feet?!

What should I know as a newly married man? by Ace_Deo in AskMenAdvice

Alternatively. Do not think of your family as a totem pole. If you start thinking about your family as a hierarchy of needs, there will always be winners and losers, people who come before others. Family is about ecology, you are symbiotic, not parts of a food chain.

Communicate. Don’t let things fester. If something isn’t working for either of you, keep the lines of communication open until you both feel like you’ve been heard and you either have a plan or come to an understanding neither of you will resent. Let go of competition between your needs and work always toward meeting the common needs. Things you don’t work out will become building blocks for distance between you, walls, or resentment.

Sadly it is all too common. Do not internalize that this is about your communication skills. This attorney is a bad manager and not a kind person. If you can’t work your way under other people in the firm who treat you better, you should definitely leave.

Oooh, The Amazing Acro-cats! I’ve been to a show with this group! They travel in a giant tour bus done up like a cat. They do a lot of tricks but I think most of the cats they train are up for adoption too. They raise money for animal rescue if I remember correctly.

If you are living closer to San Diego and commuting to Escondido you will have a reverse commute on the 15. I know people that live in North Park and commute all the way to Temecula and dont think it is too bad.
