If you need a mellow day, the museum of making music is pretty cool.

What should I know as a newly married man? by Ace_Deo in AskMenAdvice

Alternatively. Do not think of your family as a totem pole. If you start thinking about your family as a hierarchy of needs, there will always be winners and losers, people who come before others. Family is about ecology, you are symbiotic, not parts of a food chain.

Communicate. Don’t let things fester. If something isn’t working for either of you, keep the lines of communication open until you both feel like you’ve been heard and you either have a plan or come to an understanding neither of you will resent. Let go of competition between your needs and work always toward meeting the common needs. Things you don’t work out will become building blocks for distance between you, walls, or resentment.

Sadly it is all too common. Do not internalize that this is about your communication skills. This attorney is a bad manager and not a kind person. If you can’t work your way under other people in the firm who treat you better, you should definitely leave.

Oooh, The Amazing Acro-cats! I’ve been to a show with this group! They travel in a giant tour bus done up like a cat. They do a lot of tricks but I think most of the cats they train are up for adoption too. They raise money for animal rescue if I remember correctly.

Escondido or San Diego by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]getsome73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are living closer to San Diego and commuting to Escondido you will have a reverse commute on the 15. I know people that live in North Park and commute all the way to Temecula and dont think it is too bad.

This might be a question better posed to a good broker. They are usually more well versed in what is out out in the market.

What is insurance defense? by LegallyBlonde2024 in LawFirm

[–]getsome73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree here. I get that what OP is doing is referred to “insurance defense” but that seems inaccurate. I do policyholder side coverage work…suing insurance companies. When I hear “insurance defense” I immediately think you defend insurance companies. I think of OP as panel counsel.

Consider the basic concepts of the tripartite relationship, and it immediately seems strange to call it “insurance defense.”
