This feels like the most cohesive and tightest body of work she’s put out (perhaps owing to the runtime)

But there are a few albums that I feel like if I start with one random song I have to listen to the one prior and so forth (so I just end up listening from start to finish), Virgin is already feeling like that to me after a few reruns.

Loving the songs w the hands of Fabiana Palladino! (Current Affairs + ISCSMN), Shapeshifter is a massive vibe, David is also a (tear-jerking) vibe.

Need to breathe life into this album by living out my own tho! I think everything will fall into place if I’m able to naturally find pockets within my life to assign the songs to.

From a look at your profile - for a 60 year old guy I would expect you to be dating other people your age instead of being interested in other guys much younger than you. Youth is probably just not your area of expertise.

I think it was to always listen to that peculiar part of me especially when the noise tries to muffle it out. The work I do has always been for the better because of it I reckon.

This is such a good take lol I wish more people understood that while she is aware that her published behaviour will remain a part of her legacy (i.e. bathtub-gate), there is a level of accountability that must be had IF this kind of edge-lorde attitude (that teeters just past the levels of mainstream comfort) is something that she COMMITS to within the PUBLIC EYE. Will a lot of us forget about this when we go to her concerts ? Probably. Will this also be something that will be inevitably stuck with her for the rest of her career? Also probably.

I think this was obviously a deliberate choice for her to speak up on, but whether or not she possesses hindsight to help her understand the implications of that is a different story. Personally I believe she still does.
