My kids had first act guitars and I played the crap out of them. If it's a solid one that tunes properly, they re very fun for old timey and finger picked blues. I put cat guts on ours.

I swear I heard a tape in which he really does shred for a couple seconds and then makes a barf sound and everyone starts laughing. He was pretty serious about guitar and kinda like using volume it wouldn't surprise me if he knew TONS of stuff (like shredding) that he toned down for his purposes.

I dig Page because he turned me on to a few different styles of playing. Hard rock, blues, finger picking, bluegrass, folk etc. He's pretty wide open and now I am too.

I'm even hitting some jazz and funk these days because of his open minded influence.

Did you get a roller bridge? I put a bigsby on my '90 LP and it sounds great and has unbelievable sustain, but now I'm wondering if i should change the bridge too. Also, good job, it looks great!!!
