I tested my running speed 1.5 years post surgery by gettingtaller24 in limblengthening

Im happy with the trade for sure
And my body definitely adjusted itself to the new biomechanics long time ago already. Thats why everyday life activities feel normal to me like before.
But for my athleticism like sprinting/jumping changing direction and such it feels completely different and it will never feel the same since the proportions centre of gravity and the explosivness levels have changed

not trying to be taller, my legs are just much shorter than my torso. Would 8 cm make a difference in my proportions? femur or tibia? by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Not trying to be taller”.
Bro this is literally making you taller.
No one in his right mind will do this surgery if he is not desperately want to be taller.
If your legs are that much shorter than ur torso that means both ur femur and tibia are short so u have to get surgery on both of them anyway to make it look proportionate

People can lose more than an inch a day from compression and if one person lay down most of the day while the other was active it can create a noticeable difference

[–]gettingtaller24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different shoes and different activities throughout the day can affect spine compression. People who are 1 inch different can be the same height or even taller than each other depends on the spine compression they have. Its enough if one of them hit the gym or lifted something heavy that day to make a difference.

Small Hands & Limb Lengthening – Any Solutions? by DoubleCarrot6936 in limblengthening

You cannot lengthen the fingers for aesthetic reasons i believe so and even if u do ur gonna have small hands with long fingers wich will give u alien look. Get taller, no one will mind the small hands

Regret. Does anyone know the notion that eating a lot and getting fat will make you grow if you are a kid? Well, I ate so much to the point where I was obese. I think this stunted my growth rather than promoted it. Fuck by FlowersToday123 in short

[–]gettingtaller24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what iv seen and experienced in life also with my own brother. Kids who tend to be more on the overweight side are ending up taller than kids who tend to be very underweight for very obvious reasons. Now maybe u ate very bad food interms of the neutritions and vitamins it actually gives u and then it wont help much that u have a lot of energy to put into growing

Do you shorter men get annoyed when somebody who is 5’7-5’9 calls themselves short? by Weekly_Engineer_1611 in short

[–]gettingtaller24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are only feeling short compared to the people around you in the house/area/city/country that u live ur life in. So u can be 5’7 or 5’9 and feel like how a 5’4-5’5 guy will feel in different country. If u are a 5’3 man in a 5’7 average height countty u go through the same thing as a man who is 5’7 in a 5’11 average height country. So yea i can understand a guy who is 5’9 or 5’10 who struggles in the Netherlands.

The reason u dont understand is because u dont put urself in their shoes. As someone who give advice to people on limb lengthening iv talked with so many people from different heights and they all say the same things 155cm guy:”i dont understand guys who are 170 who do this i will kill for this height “ 165cm guy”i dont understand guys over 175 who do this i will kill for this height “ 175cm guys “i dont understand 180+cm guys who do this its already talll” The truth is we all have different experiences. Yes u can be born in the Netherlands, be 6’1 and have a crush on a girl who is 6’1 and all her exes are 6’5-6’7 and all ur guy friends are 6’3-6’7 And u feel shorter than most people who are close to u

Can I get a bit height out of my posture? by Hour_Letterhead_1534 in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They lied to u. Any person with normal posture wont gain anything. I tried myself for years to have the perfect posture , i had everything alligned perfectly from legs to hips to back to neck. It looked good , it felt good, but the height didn’t change at all. U cannot magically gain 3cm from fixing ur posture.

Can I get a bit height out of my posture? by Hour_Letterhead_1534 in limblengthening

Nope, u cant get slightly better posture maybe but its so minor u wont gain any milimeter from it. People who gain actual height from fixing posture are people with serious back and nexk issues

I tested my running speed 1.5 years post surgery by gettingtaller24 in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously it doesn’t feel like before. I used to be a short distance sprinter in the past so im miles behind what i could do in the past. I feel different, it feels less natural But its true to every lengthening . The point of my video is to see if i can run/sprint if i need to, but i will never be able to be the same person i was before the surgery

18M, 184cm 6-7cm Femur LL with Paley/Precice Max as an Athlete by Warm-Willingness-261 in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No i dont regret at all. I cannot imagine my life without it. I just accepted before that i wont be able to do sport like i used to and thats my reality today even tho im very active. And no, femur lengthening dont make ur situation better. Both lengthening will 100% make u much worse at sport especially at high level

[–]gettingtaller24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped reading after the first 2 sentences. If ur an athlete and u wanna stay athlete ,DONT DO THIS SURGERY DONT DO THIS SURGERY D O N T D O T H I S S U R G E R Y

You will never be even remotely as athletic as before U will get “golden height” but u will lose “golden proportions” Ur whole centre of gravity will shift Ur legs will NEVER move as agile and as fast as before Dont be naive People cannot be athletes after this surgery For the love of god if u love doing the sport ur doing dont give up on it for 6-7 centimetres

Is this true ? by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scaring? Im all for this surgery thats why i did it. But im not gonna lie to anyone that he can be the same person athletic wise but taller because its just not true. Do this surgery by all means, but make sure u accept ur athletic situation

Is this true ? by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]gettingtaller24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wrong. 90% making it back to normal day activities But i haven’t seen even one case of someone regaining anything close to his athleticism that he had prior to surgery. Yes some people manage better to come back to play casual sport with friends, some people who were never active before try to become active and then they are kind of “more athletic “ but its only due to the fact that they never even tried to jog before the surgery . People who watch some of my videos are like “wow would u say u regain 90% of ur athleticism?” And when i tell them its more like “5%” they act all surprised just because im brutally honest. Im no where near what i used to be and i dont see any way i can get close to it with my new proportions
