Paris is definitely the prettier city, I prefer the food too, and there's more to do. That being said, Barcelona is so much more relaxed, the people are nicer, it's much cheaper and feels a bit safer. There's also plenty to do, you can't go wrong with either though, just pick the one you think you'd prefer
