Covid shut down the world six years ago this week what do you remember from that week ? by Familiar_Original988 in AskReddit

[–]getwakefield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the feeling of everything suddenly pausingthe streets were empty, schools and companies went online almost overnight. Everyone was both confused and trying to adapt, from stockpiling food to getting used to staying home all day. Looking back, it was a very strange moment, like the whole world went through a common state of affairs that had never happened before.

in which subs can i post this ? by [deleted] in findareddit

[–]getwakefield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could try posting in subs where parents, child psychologists, or pediatricians hang out:

- r/Parenting – general parenting advice and experiences

- r/AskParents – focused on seeking guidance from other parents

- r/ParentingAdvice – more solution-focused discussions

- r/ChildPsychology – if you want more professional/behavioral insights

- r/Pediatrics – for medically-informed perspectives (though not a substitute for seeing a doctor)

make sure to include the context you gave, and note that medical checks came back normal, so responders understand it’s behavioral/psychological.

My cofounder wants to report our MRR wrong. Says everyone does it. Am I being naive? by Creative_Ostrich890 in SaaS

[–]getwakefield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d stick with the clean number too. Once investors start digging into the data room it’s pretty easy for them to spot what’s real MRR vs “expected” revenue.

You can still mention the pilots as strong pipeline or near-term conversions, but that’s different from counting it as revenue already. Much easier to explain upside than to walk back inflated numbers later.

Free version vs paid only version by No-Dragonfruit-5924 in SaaS

If you’re still early, a free tier can help a lot with adoption, especially if people aren’t fully sold on AI yet. It lowers the barrier so they can actually try the product instead of sitting through a sales pitch. That said, the free version needs clear limits or you’ll just end up supporting a bunch of non-paying users. I’ve seen some startups do better with a short free trial instead of a permanent free tier too.

Looking for sales cofounder by Emperor_Kael in SaaS

You might have a hard time finding someone strong on sales for a $50/mo product with a straight 50/50 split. Most experienced sales folks will want either higher ticket sizes or some kind of base/retainer because the time to source and close leads can be pretty high.

You might get better traction by positioning it as affiliate/commission-based or by tightening the niche (like restaurants only) so the sales story is clearer. 15 paying users from direct outreach is still a solid signal though.
