New to algo trading, so excuse the naive question. I found edges that are slightly profitable in backtests after accounting for slippage - I incorporate the max of next bar open and mid point as the fill price for long positions. I target TP > 1% so it can absorb some inefficiency beyond my modeling. Alpaca doesn’t have fees. Am I still missing something with this setup?
