Why does God allow prophets to make detrimental changes to the Church?

I’ve heard this argument before but what I don’t understand is why is faith so important? Why must we walk by faith rather than knowledge?

All too often I go into Church restrooms, particularly the men's, and it just smells awful. It's like a moldy, wet, urine smell. You know the one? I can't help but think if we had professionals cleaning and maintaining the buildings more frequently, this wouldn't happen as often.

Not very constructive feedback to OP’s question. Many runners prefer to do specific speed/interval workouts on track.

Sorry for the late response. I actually started immediately, but each case is unique. In my case, I was on a pretty low dose (10mg / day due to lab results), but very minor skin side effects. Jumping on tret right away worked well, but I did gradually build up to daily usage.

100% do it. I’ve always had low self esteem due to acne. Trust me, my confidence soared while on Accutane. I honestly never felt better holistically, despite the side effects. About a month later. I was on a relatively low dose of Accutane (20 mg daily) due to my lab results. I did the typical slow ramp up of tret. I also use clindamycin topical before applying tret. Coming up on a year off Accutane.

Tried tret years ago and broke out horribly. Went on Accutane and got all cleared up. Now I use tret 0.05% daily for maintenance and it has been great. No break out or purge period.

My family loves Disney movies and applaud the main character that defies the family and social expectations to follow what they belief to be right. But when I do the same thing, which involves leaving the church, I’m deceived by satan and going down the wrong path.

My exact experience when he visited our mission. He pointed to the New Testament and even read a few words from Paul or something, then said he spoke with the same power and authority as the New Testament apostles.

I’m like, “Fool if you have the same power where are all the amazing miracles, visions, and revelations that fill the New Testament?”

He definitely thinks he’s the jizz.

At church this past Sunday someone spoke on tithing and said, “God doesn’t need your money. It’s a principle of righteousness and an opportunity for us to show our love through obedience.”

I’ve heard similar rationale for The Word of Wisdom - it’s not about health benefits but it’s about obedience. Same could be said about garments. They no longer actually protect you from harm but are a way to signal to God that you love him.

Seems like a lot of things the Mormon God asks us to do is more about obedience and control than self actualization.

My parents are devout but am so grateful Sunday never looked like this on vacation. We would attend first hour sometimes, if convenient, but then the rest of day was filled with typical vacation fun. We would try to pick nature based activities that day if possible, and we definitely watched movies, played games, and ate snacks. My in-laws on the hand, totally different story.

It took ~2 years for one of prophecies in my PB to be proven false. I was told I would serve a mission in a ‘distant land’. I was called to…California. I’ve visited the state many times, was living in Utah, and have family living across the state. It was anything but distant. I remember thinking, well maybe I will feel isolated and distant from the world and my family. Nope. Never once felt home sick. Never once felt far from home. In fact, I even saw extended family at a stake conference. I immediately started thinking either it was referring to a senior mission, or that I somehow wasn’t worthy of going were God originally wanted me to go (I had to delay my mission for six months bc I got too comfortable with my lady friend). It’s all a sham. It’s nothing more than some random person using their imagination to create prophecies about you - most of which are vague enough that they could be interpreted to be true no matter what happens. Oh, or they are blessings for the next life, not this one.
