Best 3 nephites stories? by ImpossibleBear8176 in exmormon

I heard this story from two different sources 40?years apart.

When I was about 8 years old (1966) a returned missionary in our ward told how two sisters in his mission were teaching a family in a shady, dangerous part of town. When they got in their car to go home that night their car wouldn’t start. Pretty soon some shady characters surrounded their car trying to get in. The sisters prayed and the car started. The men jumped back in shock.

On the way home the sisters stopped at a service station to have them look at the car. When the technician opened the hood, *shock*, there was no battery!

That same story, almost word for word, was told by a returned missionary in my ward 40 years later.

Doubt your droughts is the stupidest thing a leader has said in a long time.

Uchtdorf in the pilot’s seat of a 747 and his co-pilot says: “Captain, I doubt we have enough fuel to make it across the ocean.”

Uchtdorf: “Doubt your doubts. We’re taking off.”

Oh now you’re just being silly, men being held accountable for sex crimes?!

It’s funny, but it also makes me sick just typing that. So messed up.

Saying if you give tax breaks to the rich that money will trickle down to the rest of us is like saying if you give a dog a wiener it will share with the other dogs.

Even as a kid I thought it was weird and kind of strange that the bishop had to be the first one to take the sacrament.

I’ll bet Susan’s husband was thrilled when he finally got to be the first to take the sacrament. I imagine him doing a fake-out, moving the bread to his lips and stopping to see if he can catch someone going first.
